I read all the information about this glue and cleaned and roughed the surfaces.After gluing left with multiple grip clamps on fof over 24 hrs Did this weeks ago so far it's been brilliant. I have stored left over in freezer as suggested. I would recommend this product, it saved my Birkenstock sandals and saved me over £100 for new ones.

Tape came off on first use after applying even though it was left for 24 hours to cure.

Excellent product and complete, easy to follow instructions including how to store leftovers for next boot repair. Had deep cuts at the laces on my favourite and only hiking boots. Option 1.. £285 on sale to replace!! option 2 try Stormsure repair kit. Used 1/3 of the tube for 2 boots, full width across toe box. Waterproof in grass and puddles, found a few small spots I failed to repair when fording river last weekend. Will fix that tomorrow! Excellent product, excellent results. I bought stormsure to fix my Timberland boots, the day before a 4 peaks sunrise walk. The glue didn’t set. I tried most of the evening to hold the front of the sole to the upper until I had to go to bed and still the glue wasn’t set. Unable to wear my boots for the walking event the next morning. Days on the glue had done nothing apart from leaving awful slightly marks. Had I of read any of this in the post I saw on Amazon I would not of risked this glue wrecking my favourite boots. I would of appreciated the heads up and bought a glue suitable to fix walking boots.
