I found the rope suspension system to be more than adequate for the 8 foot height to the cross beam with plenty of room to spare (could attach to a higher support).don't bother with additional rope/strapping, what is included is enough.I adjusted the chair so that the bottom, smaller circle, is parallel to the ground, this puts the larger ring at the perfect Back-support angle!I do a lot of reading and studying, so a comfortable posture is very important. This chair is extremely comfortable for me, I'm 5 foot 9 and weigh 197 lbs. Swinging or sitting, this system is plenty sturdy for me.It's silent! No creaks, squeaks, or swinging noise at all.POPULAR- we have 3 grandsons and they all fight over this swing even though we have monkey bars, standard swings, rope climb, and a trampoline... this is by far the most popular with the kids and I noticed no pinch-points in the design.IF you do not adjust the angles and try to use it right out of the box, it will not be comfortable.I am putting up another swing set just for these chairs so each child can swing at the same time!I much prefer this design over those that are just a flat disc. Younger children are more secure in this one and can't topple over backwards.INSTANT FAVORITE AND I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS SWING-CHAIR FOR CHILDREN OR ADULTS... we all agree that it's amazingly comfortable.If you are wearing shorts and don't want to walk away with a pattern on your legs, just lay a beach towel over it and you're good to go! We were trying to find this exact swing for at least 2 months. My mother ordered it for all the grandkids this spring and we immediately saw the value. When trying to find it a couple months ago on Amazon, it was no where to be found (or it could have been user error on our part). Regardless, we really wanted this type of swing.I’m not exaggerating when I say we tried THREE different swings of this same design (different brands) and were all disappointing (and in one case, painful).When this popped back up during Our swing search, I “bought with 1 click” and we were not disappointed when it arrived. My husband assembled and hung it within 10 minutes and we were so relived, it was the same great quality we remembered at my mothers!It’s weight capacity suits most adults and the back rest is perfect reassurance for our rowdy 2.5 year old (it’s always a competition to see who gets to swing in it)!Thanks Swing Monkey, we love it!

I bought this for my 3 year old granddaughter and she loves it. It was easy to assemble and is very sturdy. Its low enough that she can get on and off herself and its very comfortable for her to sit it. I would recommend this product to others for sure.

The color of the mesh around the seat ring has faded. Other than that, it seems to be sturdy and good quality. I love it because it is so comfortable for sitting in to enjoy nice weather or to read a book. I bought a flat type mesh swing that hangs in a tree which the kids love, but this one functions more like a chair. You can be sit in to read and it is more comfortable to me than a chair because of the floating/handing feeling. I recommend getting additional straps that are adjustable especially if you are not hanging it from an evenly flat beam/tree. The straps attached to the chair/swing are perfect for adjusting the chair to lean backward slightly or more upright and can also adjust for uneven surfaces as well. The additional straps provide more length if you need it and can attach to place where bolts are not in place. Kiddos and adults will appreciate this chair swing!

I bought this for my daycare. I used to have a swing that the kids sat in and we would buckle them in. Each day we had a line and many arguments about whose turn it was. I purchased this swing and now (depending on age and size) multiple can go on at a time. The kids absolutely love it. Its sturdy. Its easy to assemble. I think i may even purchase an additional one for the other branch!

The media could not be loaded.  We use this swing all the time. It is large enough for my fiancé or I to sit with our kids or 2 kids at a time. We have had it since May and it is now July. The red is no longer Red, it has faded quite a bit and it’s not in direct sunlight since it’s hanging from a big tree. It also has recently started dripping a small amount of rust water. I’m not sure about how many seasons it’ll last.

This is a great quality, very fun and comfortable backyard swing. It's extremely sturdy and I think a great value for the price. It's very comfortable to sit in for both adults and kids, and I'm thrilled.
