Perfect For people who like to source locally
I recently started eating ‘dashi’ or ‘kombu’ if you like. It’s called ‘dashima’ in Korean. My friend gave me a little bit of it and I fell in love. As it was hard to get Korean kelp, I decided to try this one.Overall, it’s good. The biggest difference I notice is – the smell, thickness, and the texture. In general, the smell of this Irish one is not strong as the one I know. However the texture is much tough which I quite liked. The way I eat this is, I soften it with hot water then drink the water when the kelp is completely softened. Then I have it as a side dish along with some rice. Add Ssamjang (Korean soybean paste, usually served with k-bbq).
