The Bradford Exchange Disney Alice in Wonderland Mad Hatter Light Up Cuckoo Clock

My wife is a massive Alice in Wonderland fan. When she said she wanted this clock, I knew I had to get it for her. The quality of the clock is what you’d expect from the Bradford Exchange and worth the money.

Apparently the clock has no chime of any type. This is REALLY odd since it has a volume adjustment for the chime. It honestly appears to have been purposely disabled since there's electronics in the side where the volume is at. There's also a port for a power cord from the looks of it that is completely ignored in the paperwork that comes with the clock. I like the clock but I'm really disappointed by the lack of a chime of any kind. Otherwise the quality is pretty good. There are a couple of imperfections in the hat rim I wouldn't have expected to see in a casting of this quality. But even with no chime, it's still a neat clock. The chime would only be something I'd turn on occasionally anyway I suppose. Update: After looking more I noticed that other buyers answered the question about the chime stating it's supposed to play "I'm late" on the hour. I contacted the seller and they kept acting like "what chime?" They know darn well what chime. This worked with me for a short while. Now I'm piping mad over this. Not cool at all. First they sell me a broken clock, then they act like it's supposed to work that way. >:( I changed my review to the one start this item deserves since there's only one official seller. Second Update: The seller contacted me after my second complaint and apologized for the error. They sent another clock to replace this one that works. The were EXTREMELY apologetic for the incident. I couldn't ask for better customer service from them at this point. Maybe I just got a bad technician the first time around. I was mad beyond reproach and they managed to somehow turn that into complete satisfaction. I can't say that in my life more than 5 places have managed to do this. Color me impressed. I changed my rating from 1 star to 4. I would have changed it to 5 but honestly the quality of the item isn't quite 5 stars in my honest opinion. The painting is not poor but it's not as impressive as you'd expect, and there are minor casting flaws on the hat rim on all of them. Still I do like the clock. I do wish it weren't powered by three AAA batteries and one AA battery however (in two different locations). Why not just one battery source? (It can be externally powered with an optional power cord but I don't think I'd want a cord showing from it so I'm at least fairly content it runs on battery even if the combo and location is a bit weird.)

it's beautifully designed and the quality looking, but the sound is terrible. this day and age with cell phones with good sound quality, something costing $250 should have better sound. You need to make sure that the clock is completely level vertically for the pendulum to swing

I got this item as a gift for Christmas. Been looking forward to it for a while. Do the sound/lights/cuckoo window thingy work? Yep. Does the pendulum swing? Nope. Do the clock hands move on their own? Nope. Have batteries been installed as directed? Yep. I’ve tripled checked them. Right batteries, right orientation. It’s cute, but also extremely fragile. Every time I took it down and attempted to carefully discern the latest issue, small bits of it would groan if I even breathed on them wrong. I’ve had to hot glue one of the teapot handles and one of the tweedle’s hands back on now. So it’s a terrible clock, but a halfway decent wall decoration for an Alice fan. 🤷🏻‍♀️if you must tinker with the back of it, keep it face down in the foam.

First clock arrived with damage that clearly occurred during the packing of the clock. The return was through Amazon and was not an issue at all. Second clock arrived within a week and had no damage. I contacted Bradford Exchange customer service and they were very helpful and understanding. This clock is a gift for my fiancé in her Alice themed office and she loves it! Five stars for product and customer service.

I opened the box and the flipped the Styrofoam and it was covered in ASH, half the guts were out, lights did not work, the cuckoo clock did not work and the pendalum worked for about 15 minutes. The Styrofoam was not even inside a Disney box. It's like there was a fire somewhere near and it got inside with the clock. I am so angry. I paid almost $244.00 with s/h and it was to be my final collectors piece for my dining room and I got something, that I believe was returned, and they turned around and sent it to me. I sent an email to the seller and did I get a response? NO! So, I am returning it and am going to go through Bradford Exchange personally.

This clock is beautiful the characters are all so cute, it came on time. The hourly chime is amazing. It does the chime on time. This clock was handled with care❤.

This clock is fantastic!! I highly recommend it for anyone who is an Alice fan. Be sure to take off the back of the clock and unhook the queen of hearts so it will swing back and forth for the seconds.

Absolutely one of my all-time greatest purchases and most favorite thing in my office. I have an Alice in Wonderland/Disney/80s cartoon themed office and this is perfect on my wall the cuckoo clock function and the I’m late. I’m late song my cat loves. he comes into the room every hour just to stare at it. Absolutely stunning.

it was for a co-worker..she loved it. was more than i thought..was great..for all. they will love it..

Clock has a few flaws . Some reason there’s a lot of glue where the single battery goes and it sounds awful
