Coastal Pet Safari Double Row Comb - Helps Dry Skin - For Flea Prevention and Detection in Pets with Short and Long Hair

I'd previously used a standard flea comb on my cat which was useless really. It did catch fleas, but the fleas moved like the clappers and would immediately run or jump off the comb. With this comb the fleas are caught between the double row of teeth. Eggs, larvae, flea dirt and loose hair are also removed. My cat has a dense coat, this comb doesn't tug and the teeth are rounded, not sharp.I keep a large jar of water close by with a squirt of washing up liquid in, ready to dunk the comb to remove the fleas and keep them in the jar. I use Ecover unscented liquid. I then rinse the comb in a jar of clean water, and roughly dry it before continuing.It does take a bit more effort to clean because of the double row of teeth. I use a small bristle brush to sweep out any flea dirt or eggs into the soapy jar. After a combing session I give the comb and brush a clean with neat washing up liquid to kill off anything too small to see.This is working really well for my cat, we're definitely winning. Huge relief!

I had to buy this flea comb for my Jack Russell as I found the standard plastic combs did nothing except skim the surface of her fur but this on actually get right to the skin.I found a few as she was in contact with another dog whom I found out afterwards had the little pests and with the summer we have had there everywhere so you cannot avoid them if your dog goes out for a walk.It’s very good quality and very sturdy also I am glad I bought it.

People were not lying when they said this is the best comb for fleas. I did some research before buying a comb since the previous one didn't work so well and the fleas just kept escaping.With this comb however, you are guaranteed catching the little f#@kers that has caused your pet grief. Has a good ergonomic handle so you can hold the comb firmly and then the double teeth layer is just amazing doesn't hurt your pet except your pet (my cat in this case) will hurt me for using a comb on him.Nevertheless an amazing product. Highly recommended if anyone's looking for a flea comb. Don't believe me, but try it for yourself and see the results. 10/10

Have bought various other combs (some which were supposed to electrify the fleas - completely useless) this comb is simple but does exactly what it's supposed to at a reasonable price.

weave an elastic band through the base prongs and it will collect much more hair. Easy and much cheaper DIY version of the very expensive fur buster brushes

Sturdy and well made, the double row of teeth works well but doesn't hurt the dog.

This is a good comb and comfortable to use. However, unlike another grooming comb I have, it doesn’t release the dog hair in the water when you shake it to rinse, having to use two hands to get rid of the dog hair, making it inconvenient and tedious and the job takes much longer.

Really easy to use: I can get a firm hold on the comb and a good angle to reach all fur parts needed. It is gentle on my cat's skin and doesn't pull and tug his fur as much as other combs we have been using. The double row of teeth work very well and I'm sure it helps to catch more fleas and keep them caught up in the comb so you can get them before they jump away.
