Essential stuff!
As a trainer and coach this is one of those resources I will keep coming back to myself and will pass on to others. It has much I have not come across before and many familiar concepts that are all explained well. The sections on Perception and Composing Feedback I will refer to frequently and the descriptions of Outcome and Process Feedback to give clarity to managers will be useful.As others have said, the examples give context to the material which is comprehensive in such a small format. The examples of turning adjectives to descriptions of behaviour worked particularly well for me as this is often difficult for managers to get to grips with.For managers who understand the need to give feedback as part of the development process, this book describes how to compose feedback, consider the influencing factors and potential consequences of giving it too.Thanks Mike.

Excellent resource
Having used Pocketbooks since they first came out in the 80s, I am used to the high standard & quality of these really useful books - and this one keeps up that standard. Feedback is a very challenging subject and it is not easy for a manager/boss/leader/coach or individual to GIVE appropriate feedback; nor is it always easy to RECEIVE it. This book shows how to do both in easy-to-understand sections, useful for all. I especially like the OVERVIEW sections, how to COMPOSE feedback and Constructive Feedback CONVERSATIONS. It is clearly well-researched with the user in mind.As a coach I will use this book a great deal and am very happy to recommend it to clients, other coaches and trainers and anyone who needs to give feedback. An excellent resource.

A pocketful of feedback
This book is a practical guide ideal for trainers and managers and offers great value.I got my copy this week and have already dipped into it several times - I'm planning a feedback workshop shortly and the Feedback Frameworks chapter has given me loads of ideas. I'll also be using some of the suggestions for establishing Feedback Contracts with my team.

Great Resource
This book is a treasure chest of practical tips and valuable insights. The use of supportive quotes, case examples and feedback frameworks helps readers adapt information to their own individual circumstances. I have recommended this book to colleagues and used it as a tool when mentoring others.
