Embroidery machine connector
i have multiple of these and work great, we use them for our older embroidery machines as they run on serial ports. we have tried multiple of these and the only ones that work are the ones with the prolific chipset. would recommend for anyone trying to connect older machinery

Very good, installed automatically with no problems under Windows 10
I used this product for a machine for customer, as PCs don;t have serial ports any more, I needed to get RS232 data in to it. Good price and postage included

Works properly.
Works perfectly on Windows, drivers don't work on Macos high Sierra but 3rd party serial app picks it up and works perfectly.

Sort of works
Works OK for me IF you employ the driver from the CD. Unfortunately W10 will automatically try to update this and then it will fail. YES you can stop W10 from automatically updating drivers BUT why does a manufacturer issue new drivers - presumably because they are better and should work. I only found out it did not work and the reason because it did not work properly - not that Windows told me. Probably not the last Prolific orientated problem I will see?

Cable is Linux and Cisco compatible (if you already have Cisco serial cable)
I bought this to get into the console of an old Cisco router that I'm setting up as a test machine for CCNA studies. I could have bought an official Cisco USB to console cable but I already had a Cisco serial to console cable and I was wondering if this cable would bridge the gap. I was using a PC with Ubuntu 19.10 installed and connected the cable up, grepped dmesg to see what port name it had under Linux ( in my case /dev/ttyUSB0 ) and then connected to my router no problem via the Cisco serial cable. I wrote this review in case anyone was wondering if it was Linux compatible. It is! If you are like me and wonder if it will also work with a Cisco serial cable. It does!

Signal generated by my unit not RS232 compliant.
Didn’t generate sufficient voltage on its transmit pins for the UPS I was using it to communicate with to be able to correctly/reliably receive my commands. Any data received from the UPS was received without error though. Switching to a different USB RS232 transceiver solved all my problems and the communications became 100% reliable. Disappointing. I do not recommend.

Super kabel van goed materiaal en maakt gebruik van de Prolific PL2303GT chip. Werkt goed op Windows 7 tot er met 11!!! Wordt met automatische update voorzien van de juiste driver! Op diverse apparaten getest en werkt uitstekend:)

Win11で問題無く使えました。激安(500円くらい)のケーブルだと三菱のPLCに使えませんでしたが 、この製品はOKでした。安価に購入できて良かったです。
