MYOC Acrylates Copolymer Powder is a versatile cosmetic polymer used to enhance thickness, film formation, and stability in personal-care formulations. Ideal for gels, lotions, creams, sunscreens, serums, and hair styling products, it provides excellent viscosity control and helps improve application feel. Typically used at 0.2%–5%, this powder can be customized to achieve lightweight fluid gels or thicker emulsions. For best results, disperse the powder slowly into the water phase while mixing to avoid clumping, and neutralize if needed to activate its full gelling capabilities. Suitable for DIY crafters and professional formulators, this polymer helps achieve a polished, stable finish in both small-batch and large-scale cosmetic products. For external use only.

Good value
This is probably a great item. I was eager to test it out in my lotion and soap making. However, it never arrived for me to compare to my other brands or test in my soaps. Good value if it arrives.

Good
Playing around with using this in some cosmetics and a conditioner, it works as expected. Still working out a few issues with a few things, but this isn't the issue, and there's plenty of product for me to test with.

Reliable Thickening
MYOC Acrylate Copolymer blended evenly into my DIY cosmetics without any clumping. It gave my lotions a nice smooth consistency and was easy to work with. I had been trying to get more body to some relatively thin, almost watery formulas and this worked perfectly.

Works well, good sizing for smaller production runs
Acrylate Copolymer adds water resistance and protection to skin products in addition to acting as a thickener. This is very difficult to get to mix but what I have found works is after the hot phase has been made, carefully sprinkle or sift this in while having vigorous mixing going. This does not want to mix into water so if you have both an oil and water hot phase, make sure to add it to the oil phase. Once this is done, be prepared to mix for a long time to ensure there is a very even distribution. 5-30mins depending on batch size.Working with specialty ingredients like this can be intimidating but having small quantities of product available like this makes R&D very accessible.

Still Working on It
Acrylate copolymer is a great ingredient for adding water resistance to cosmetic formulations. I’ve only made a small test batch of sunscreen with it so far, but it seemed to work perfectly. While I’m still fine-tuning my final recipe, this has been a promising addition to my formulation toolkit.
