Very easy replacement. Plug in and go. Couldn't be simpler. Better than having to buy a whole new string of lights.

Five stars for the product - it does what it was intended to do and perfectly integrated with the cable on our 6 ft prelit tree. Problem is, we've had that rancid old tree for 8+ years, and I was waiting on the lights giving up to leverage the husband into getting a new one. Last Christmas, pop, lights went out five days before Christmas. Oh no! What a disaster. Just when they were reducing the unsold Christmas trees at our local garden centre. But alas, it was Amazon to the rescue again. The very next day, this dear little plug arrived on our doorstep and saved our Christmas tree from certain doom. Nay! It saved Christmas! and it was cheaper than a new tree by a long way. If your lights are blown on your old prelit tree, this is the thing you need. But if you're secretly hoping for a brand new tree instead, maybe don't order it.
