Good concept, too loud
It's a good idea, too bad my cats are too afraid of the sound it makes to go near it. My cats are very skittish, bolder cats are likely to love this toy. It was easy to put in the batteries, but be warned, when I took the batteries out one of them jumped out at me.

Failed to work for long enough to give to cat
Didn't work. It zoomed around the floor for maybe a minute, showing promise, but then died. New batteries don't help and when it is opened it smells burned inside now.

The item itself is ok - the 'laser' on it ...
The item itself is ok - the 'laser' on it actually doesn't shine on anything, it just shows up on the outside of the ball. My (older) cats just look at it and go 'meh'. I got this thinking it would shoot a laser light for them to chase, but that's not how this toy works.

Save your $ for something better
I wound up being very disappointed by this. Installed the first set of batteries, the ball rolled all over the house and the cat loved chasing it. However, the first set of batteries only lasted about 2-3 days as did the LED light. Installed the second set of batteries and they only lasted one day. Now it just sits there until I can find batteries for it. Totally expected this to last waaaaay longer than 5 days.

Defective, returned immediately.
Defective right out of the box. Unit was out of alignment and could not rotate fully to generate movement. Returned the next day, I suggest you spend a few dollars more and get a better product.

My cat didn't like it!
It shows the light shining out & hitting the floor, but that does not happen! It just makes a small glow on the side of the ball. It does not roll well on Carpet. My cat didn't like it!
