Best of the Best for light bulb-based cameras, A++, cannot recommend enought, you will love it!
I love this light bulb camera, but based on the reviews I was expecting to return it.First off, there are over a dozen different manufacturers making these types of cameras, based off a camera mounted in a standard E27 sized light socket. And while they all look similar, once you get beyond aesthetics, there differences start to really separate the models/vendors.I can say without a doubt, as of the first week, the “Light Bulb Security Camera Outdoor Waterproof 2K” by SYMYNELEC is a great camera. I will update my review if the situation changes, but so far, it works better than expect. I regress my expectations were not high to begin with.Configuration took 30 seconds, and this is due to the fact that this was my 5th Tuya / Smartlife app camera. I had experience setting up the other cameras, so I did not even need the instructions, just got the QR code from the Smartlife app, scanned it with the camera, and I was off to the races. I did add a 128GB SD card for storage. To make configuration easier, they include a E27 light bulb socket to 2-prong wall-plug type adapter, so I did not need to use a small lamp to plug in the bulb to configure it. They also include a 5” extender, which I needed, in case the socket is too deep for the camera/bulb.I was able to quickly adjust the camera position from the Smartlife app and target my rear external door for observation. I turned on the other options such as motion tracking and motion detection, but based on where I have the camera aimed it should not move unless someone comes to my rear door. I’ve ordered a 2nd bulb-camera to watch the backyard, and this will be aimed toward the backyard and not a specific area. This should give me a better chance to test motion / human detection and tracking, but my initial tests proved these features work very well. The mounting was easy, just screw it in start watching the stream. I have already order another before I wrote this review, and like all my other Tuya based cameras, this works great with the app. I tested most of the features such as taking pictures and capturing video, unique to this camera from my others is the bright flood light you can turn on all the time or set it up to turn on when motion is detected. This worked well, and the only option I have yet to test is the “Shimmer” feature, not sure what that even does? There is also a “Siren” button I have not tested because I do not plan to use it. There is also a camera calibration option I have not tested, and again, none of my other cameras have this feature. Also, to note, there is a “Wide Dynamic Range” switch that is turned on, but I have not tested that yet. The “Display settings, which allows Brightness, Contrast, and Sharpness is also unique to this model. One cool feature that I found was the “Trigger Siren”, but I think this might just trigger the internal siren vs my Tuya home alarm siren?Very happy with this super easy to setup camera, and I have already bought another. If you are looking for this type of camera, you should not be unpleased with this vendor/maker’s offering.

Really clear video, much better than the cheaper one it's replacing.
I've had two of the cut-rate security camera's from a foreign website and both stopped tracking within a months, then died a few months later. This one right out of the box feels heftier and sturdier, and has a booklet of well written instructions. I thought my wifi was 2.4 ghz when I ordered the camera but when I went to install the camera I realized my wifi was 5 ghz and the camera is only supposed to work on 2.4 ghz. I was disappointed and was going to return it, then I decided to try and connect it just for laughs. Imagine my surprise when I got it working on my 5 ghz wifi. Connecting these types of cameras can be a bit frustrating because I've always had to deviate from the instructions to get these things to work, so make sure you are famiiar with wifi setups or have someone who can help you (or you might end up pulling your hair out). The great thing about this camera is it has a very large field of vision, it tracks well, motion detector works properly and best of all it really has a very clear picture for a budget security camera.

Well worth the money but with reservations listed in my review
Great replacement for Sengled Snap camera/bulb when the server quit working. I was really impressed with the quality of the camera and the 256GB ScanDisk I purchased to install to track motion. It is an easy set up with an iPhone. I would have rated it 5 stars but I was not impressed with the 5GHz WiFi. I have high speed fiber optic wifi and the 5GHz worked great next to office but once installed in the ceiling over my front door (15 feet from my Nighthawk raxe300 router, it disconnected and would not reconnect. Back in the office it immediately connected. I had to remove the camera from the SYMYNELEC app, reset the camera and hook up with 2.4GHz wifi. It works well now but don’t plan on using 5GHz wifi. The SYMYNELEC app was clumsy once I allowed access to Amazon. I ended up disconnecting Amazon and Tuya access with the reinstall; the app works well. I would recommend this device with one piece of advice, if you set up the light timer to come on at night, ensure the camera is pointing down and not pointing at an angle, the light is bright and would be a distraction to people approaching the door.
