Q: Left for an appointment, came back to find my boyfriend had cut his steak in my pan! Is there anyway to repair this?

You cannot repair the boyfriend, but a new pan is cheaper and will last longer.

I have 2 pans, haven't had that problem, there fairly new. Sounds like there might have been another piece behind the bracket? I would take the screw to Home Depot or Lowe's and tell them you want the same screw 1/8 to 1/4 inch longer and see if that works. I have done that with older pots and it works and for .99cents it's worth trying. An old hangman told me 40+ years ago "Never pick up a pot or pan with something in them, another pot, dishes, etc. by the handle." Went through several pots and pans until his advise sunk in..

It's an aluminium pan with ceramic coating

The description of the product is misleading, it's an aluminium pan with ceramic coating which will go away in 6 months of daily use. Not worth the price.
