SURE LOCK TSA Compatible Travel Luggage Locks, Inspection Indicator, Easy Read Dials TSA Approved with Zinc Alloy

I purchased these right before flying across the US and they were great. I like that they have the red indicator that pops up if TSA accesses your bag. They were easy to use, felt well made, and did the job. I wanted to make sure my bag wouldn’t pop open on plane transfers and these locks gave me peace of mind that my bags were secure. The size is good, they’re sleek, and they open and close well. This was a good purchase.

These are great TSA approved locks - they allow you to set any 3 digit code you want, and one of the best features is that if TSA opens the lock, the red tab pops out and automatically goes back in, if you unlock them using the correct combination. This is handy if you are travelling a lot, especially internationally, and want to know if your luggage has been opened. I highly recommend these. We got the orange ones, which made them highly visible and made finding your luggage coming out of the airline turnstile that much easier.

The cable length is great, the setting of the combination is easy, and the locks are solidly built even in the small size. They will last for a long time.

Overall I really like these. They do the job (of deterring but not necessarily stopping a very motivated person from getting passed). They’ve gone through airport security multiple times and never an issue. I would highly recommend, just set your expectations and understand what these are for and their limitations. I’m not a big fan of the instructions for resetting the code, simply because it feels a bit too easy. That said, they are easy to use and lock very well.

We used these locks in our bags while traveling across Italy and they worked perfectly! Sturdy yet lightweight and incredibly easy to use.

This is a lock that is well made, sturdy and designed by people who obviously travel. I needed locks for my carry on luggage, because, on rare occasions, I run into times when the flight attendant will decide my duffel won't fit the overhead, and it's pointless to argue with them if I want to be on the flight. Then, things go missing. I chose these locks, because I like the tamper indicator on it. I also like the easy to read numbers, and that there is a separate window to view the combination code I set. The last time I bought a baggage combination lock was 30 years ago from a well known luggage company, and it was frustratingly hard to read the tiny black numbers on a metal background,even with my 20/20 eyesight, it did not have a separate window but a small dot to indicate where the numbers needed to be aligned, and it was not a cable lock. I ended up cutting it since I couldn't open the lock. Since I couldn't get a lock and key lock that is TSA approved, I reluctantly looked around for a combination lock that will give me some peace of mind, and that I wouldn't get frustrated trying to use or feel like I just threw away money. I am very happy with this lock. I have an Amazon Prime membership, so I liked the ability to return the locks if they didn't work out for me. I got the green color, because I wanted to give my luggage an additional distinct personality so I can identify it easily. While I was waiting for the locks to arrive, the lock company sent me an email thanking me for deciding to buy the locks, gave me useful information about how to contact them if I have any issues with their product, and reminded me that there is a guarantee that should the locks be damaged by baggage handlers or TSA, that they will replace it with a working lock. Besides that, if I can't follow the easy, written instructions, which I had no trouble following, there is an online "how to" video available. I have a trip coming up in 2 days, and I fly frequently domestically and internationally for nearly all my life for decades. If I have any issues with the locks while traveling, I'll followup and add on this review. Whoever designed these locks and tested them knew what they were doing, and I really appreciate that. My luggage was carefully designed to accept most lock cables with lock holes in the zippers and D rings to provide security, so the cable fits nicely through them. The lock's body is metal. I like the sale price too. For my one carry on, I required 3 locks, but I just ordered a 4 pack to have an extra handy in a pinch, and if I love them so much, I can give a couple locks as a present to other frequent flying friends or family. Just to note, I know I could cut through these cables with a hefty wirecutter, but then, a person could axe my luggage. With the locks, it would take more time to tamper with luggage than without locks:) I don't expect 100 percent peace of mind, but, at least, locks on my luggage will help to keep it from being an easy target.

I love the fact these were TSA approved and look good. The long cable is flexible and allowed easy installation around the two zippers. The instructions for operation, including setting the combination were clear and it worked perfectly. We have taken 2 trips with these and couldn't be more pleased. Everything in our suitcases arrived safe and sound without incident. Such a small price to pay for piece of mind.

These combination locks are great. Very easy and comfortable to use. You can actually read the numbers and the silver button pops open the lock. It is also very easy to change your number code if you wish to do so.

Not the strongest, but it's a good quality-looking lock for a basic visual deterrent, or to pass lock requirements on weapons related cases.

Very good and easy to use

Most of these TSA luggage locks feel kinda cheap. Not like this model feels like a Medeco, so don’t get the wrong idea. But it appears decent and in the short time I’ve had two of these Sur Locks, the combinations were easily set. They have opened and closed dozens of times with no issue and got perfectly through my luggage zippers. They haven’t felt sloppy nor have they been flopping around whilst moving my bags. Hard not to like these. If they hold up with reasonable use these are a good buy.If these fail in some unreasonable method I will update this review.Recommended.

I particularly like the longer loop that attaches to my luggage.
