Not Just Fairy Lights — Fire-up Models and Dioramas
I hate it that I have to buy these from overseas vendors, but it’s a good, simple-to-use product (cheaply made). Being profoundly electrically challenged, I use “fairy lights” for hobby modeling and dioramas — airbrushing can’t duplicate the internal glow of a model flamethrower fire stream. And, o’ the joy of a well-lit WWI Dimestore Doughboys Headquarters telephone switchboard.

Red lights make good dark night laterns
Red lights are great for working in the dark and not hampering our natural night vision. I placed a strand in each of six clear plastic creamer bottles that had been saved to make lanterns. These work great for placing around our observing field at the observatory to provide a glow of red light. Now visitors who don't know the property can get around more safely and not have their eyes that have adjusted to the dark blinded.

please reconsider hinge design
the product itself is fine-very nice looking, in fact, and seemingly well made for what it is. The hinge that holds the battery pack closed is an awful design-its almost impossible to open (I had to grab some tweezers), and its designed so that it will definitely bust after one or two openings.

Love them
I love them, they were the perfect piece for my room

Nice and bright
I used several inside a wine bottle. It takes a lot of patience to arrange them in the bottle so you don't have large gaps. I did not know there was a timer on the strands. I gave it as a gift.

Batteries don't last long.
Great for putting in bottles as decorations but batteries don't last long and starts dimming quick. Uses CR2032 (x2) batteries which are costly if replacing so often. No remote or timer function.

Great value fairy lights
Not much to say here. Good value lights that work as expected. No twinkling effect or anything, but I wasn't expecting that.

Batteries won't last long because...
I am not an electrical engineer but I have been trained in troubleshooting basic electronics back in my high school days (thanks Francis Tuttle Vo-Tech in Okc!). These LEDs are diodes which emits light when power applied. LEDs requires a resistor to control the current that runs through them since diodes have almost exactly zero resistance! These lights are basically causing a short-circuit drawing a huge amount of current to these CR2032 batteries maximum ability. If I connect my adjustable power supply and slowly increase the voltage, at 2v its already drawing 3amps which is way more than these little LED lights can handle of any length of time! These little CR2032 batteries hold approximately 245mAh and can draw about 2.5 milli-amps when shorted thru my volt meter and then drops to around 1.5 milli-amps after about a minute which explains why these lights look great when you first turn them on with new batteries but after about a minute, they get dim and after about 11 hours, they reduce in brightness by about 50%. The engineer who put this together should add two more batteries making it 4 batteries in series and also add about a 1 watt 200ohm resistor in series to help control the current allowing for the batteries to have a much longer lifespan while not losing much brightness. Attached photo is my temporary fix until I receive some parts on Amazon to make this a permanent fix. I'm usually two 3.7v 1500mAh batteries put in series making a 7.4v power source with 4x51ohm resistors for each LED line. Yes, I have twisted together two strip of these LED lights so that each LED isn't so far apart. I also used the switch/battery holder that came with these lights and modified it to be used as a switch on/off only until I get my permanent parts in the mail making this setup look more "professionally done".
