To be honest, I didn't get this for a camping chair. Instead, I got it to use with my desk chair as I work from home. My basement office can get quite chilly during the winter months so I thought that this heated cushion could help keep me warm. While the cushion did generate a decent amount of heat, it didn't fit well on my desk chair and was quite uncomfortable. However, I don't blame the cushion for this as it wasn't specifically designed for my chair. I then tried it on a camping chair and it was much better. My wife has since confiscated this cushion to keep warm by the fire on cold nights. Overall, the cushion works well as long as it is used in a chair that it fits properly.

This cushion is firm, but comfortable to sit on; the fabric on the upper side is soft and pleasant to touch. It's very lightweight, yet seems reasonably sturdy. The heating works quite well! Using it indoors, it's very warm even at its lowest level - I suspect it would do quite well outdoors in proper cold as well.Things to consider? Well, the button is on the upper face of the cushion toward the right back side of the seat. Depending on how you're sitting/how much you move/how large of a person is sitting there, it is entirely possible to change the heat setting with your bodyweight - but careful positioning would probably fix that if it happened.It also didn't like the first battery pack I used (for a heated vest) and was a bit finicky (losing settings, turning off, etc.), but swapping out to a standard generic USB battery pack made it work perfectly - so just make sure you give it the kind of power it prefers.

This heated seat pad is a life saver in very specific situations. It's not very wide or particularly comfortable, but it gets very warm, and has a good selection of settings to keep you toasty warm. The design is made to fit things like camp chairs, but it would be equally useful for stadium seating or even a curb during a parade. I've tried using it indoors, and it doesn't fit well on my office chair (it's too thin), and I actually find the heat to be too much.As noted in the listing, it doesn't come with a battery pack, but will plug into any USB power bank. I recommend a minimum size of 5000 mah to ensure you have enough power to last a few hours, and even to bring a backup power bank if you know you'll need it for hours. While this is very lightweight and portable the heating element or coils throughout are not that strong. It heats up but not quickly and doesn't really get hot. It is soft and easy to use.

My desk area gets really cold, so I wanted an easy way to warm myself in this drafty 123-year-old house. I've tried a few heated cushions and seats, but they always fit awkwardly on my computer chair. This is the perfect fit. It extends to the end of my seat, so it doesn't feel weird. I have a good-sized power bank that fits perfectly in the pocket. I plugged this in and could feel the heat within one minute. I had to turn it down because I was getting too warm, haha! But I can see the need to use the high setting when you are outside. I cannot imagine how much more pleasant my life would have been had I had this all the times I had to sit on a freezing cold bleacher to cheer on one team or another! The instructions are super clear and easy to follow. You DO need your OWN power bank. Pay attention to that! The seat is a nice soft velour-type material and the underside is a sturdy polyester with velcro straps. The pocket for the power bank is durable. All stitching looks great. I hope this product lasts my tooshie many cold days to come!

Not bad. Pretty lightweight but larger, which is good but not so much for travel. Light in the cushioning department. Heats up well and does a good job keeping you cozy. Not crazy about the wire coming out of the cushion and into the battery pocket, would be nice if it was fished through to it hidden. The wire can get caught up on your hand or if you have anything in your pocket.

It's mid-December here in Minnesota and we are just starting the ice fishing season. I ordered this portable heated seat cushion to use when we are out ice fishing and used it for the first time today.First impression is OUTSTANDING. The cushion is powered by a USB cable and you can turn on and adjust the power by a button on the cushion. I powered it off of a power bank that I use to power my portable fish finder. The power bank powered my fish finder and seat cushion all day with power to spare. It was nice having a warm chair to sit on and I found it unnecessary to even run the propane heater. Today's test run went great and I am happy if I can take the propane heater and tank out of my sled as this will save me a lot of room and weight.So far so good!
