Q: can you lock it in open position for drinking?

Yes. There is a little bit of play even when it's "locked" in the open position, but it does stay open as you drink without needing to hold it open.

Q: Water seems to get stuck between the gasket & the lid when placed in the dishwasher. Should the gasket be removed prior to placing in the dishwasher?

I always remove plastic gasket and wash that by hand and place lid in dishwasher. Not sure if this is suggested by manufacturer. However it seems most practical.

Q: Question for Manufacturer: Freezer-safe? Can you freeze liquid (such as milk) and then thaw them out in the refrigerator?

I am sure the lids are perfectly safe but if you are freezing glass you must remember that whatever your freezing may expand… So always fill the jar With a little bit of space to expand and I personally would leave the lid open until the contents have frozen then shut it. The lid should be fine in the freezer it’s the glass you have to be careful of… Hope this helps!

Q: i asked a question why i ordered regular mouth and it won’t fit my jars it’s loose many of you responded that this listing is for wide it is not there

I have found that even though this says it fits Ball jars perfectly, that's not always the case. I have some VERY old Ball jars (which I was hoping to use with these), but they don't fit these, because they don't have a screw top - they have the original glass lids. I suspect you ordered the correct size, but your jars are older - I don't know if you (and I!) can get these to work with those jars. For now, I'll use them with the newer jars.
