Thorn Stainless Steel Boat Dock Cleat Marine Grade 4-5/16" (4 PCS)

I used these for securing dock lines to a 14-foot wherry. They are just large enough to secure a 3/8-inch nylon line. For my small boat, I could have used 1/4-inch or 5/16-inch line. For a larger, heavier boat, I would suggest a larger cleat, not for strength but simply for more secure bights in the line. I would not recommend this size for 1/2-inch line. These cleats are fastened with two large flathead screws or through-bolts. The cleats have "feet" to avoid wobbling. Made from stainless steel, they should last longer than the boat.

They are small, is what I ordered. Haven’t used them yet but they do fit right on where the old came off. Good deal.
