Trail Guide to the Body: How to Locate Muscles, Bones and More

Best anatomy book
This actually wasn't a required reading for my class, however a peer of mine had a copy and after skimming, I realized that I needed it!If you're serious about memorizing each of the muscle origins, insertions, actions and innervations as well as bones, ligaments and other body landmarks, this book has amazingly great-quality, detailed sketch photos and extremely easy to follow text descriptions. Most of the book is layed out with photographs and various paragraphs of information, so it doesn't feel or look like you're reading a textbook. "Trail Guide" is a surprisingly accurate name for this, because instead of throwing facts and information at me, it feels like I'm just following simple instructions. One of the best aspects of this book is the palpating instructions. Everything that can be felt is given a detailed image and paragraph of suggestions. I also like that it's spiral bound, so I can flip the pages all around without the hassle of a spine trying to close the book.Overall great quality, easy to read textbook that I highly recommend for any PT, PTA or healthcare student who needs to know and understand the aspects of anatomy.

Great Book
Awesome book! I was suppose to get this book years ago while studying massage therapy and never got around to purchasing it because I had the use of my class mates copy but having my own copy in hand surely gave me a wake up call. I should have bought my own copy long ago. This book is worth every penny. Whatever you do in the bodyworkers field whether it's a massage therapist, physical therapists or even a personal trainer this book is a must buy because the information placed in this book is beyond helpful. For therapists locating muscles will be that much easier and if you exercise it'll help you to locate, understand muscle actions an isolate your muscles better so you can get those definitions. I can't see how I've gone this far without it.

I really hate to sound like a broken record
I really hate to sound like a broken record, but this is an excellent learning book! It is just chocked full of easy to understand illustrations with labeled and highlighted body parts. Short and to the point examples of how something works in normal everyday life are extremely helpful and will help to reinforce the basic lessons. The book is divided into logical sections with an easy to use guide for following along and getting the most from the lessons. This book provides an in-depth view of our bodies, primarily the bony structures and musculature, but does touch on blood vessels and nerves too. Included is information on trigger points, muscle attachment and a glossary of terms. All in all, this is a great value for the $50.40 price tag. I also ordered the workbook and will be reviewing that as well.
