SABRENT USB-C Multi-Card Reader for CFexpress Type B, CFast 2.0, and microSD/SD Cards (CR-C4PM)

Needed to upgrade my readers to USB-C. Faster reading and writing.

Sabrent is a very well known manufacturer of high quality products.This CFexpress A reader from them doesn’t disappoint.It is an all metal reader with an attached short USB C cable.There’s a blue LED on the top corner to indicate operation.I attached this reader directly to my MacBook Air M2 and inserted a Pergear 1Tb CFexpress A card.It is a spring loaded slot and it went in confidently.Removing the card involved pressing it into the reader gently and releasing, the card pops out easily.Blackmagic designs disk test shows read and write exactly as in the specifications of the card.I would highly recommend this quality CFexpress A reader from Sabrent

This is a great card reader. I like that it's USB-C, though I do wish the cable was detachable instead of a fixed pigtail. It's slightly more obnoxious to store and I have to just kinda hang it off the port of my desktop. Sustained reads (with a Silicon Power CFE-B 512GB drive) at 485MB/s to NVMe. Well worth the investment and far less expensive than higher profile brands (which I like but I don't need to spend twice the price for ~50MB/s at best).

Great design and great look. The nice thing is that this cord is long enough that I can have it connected to my laptop hub while it is sitting on my desk.

I use this with bigger jobs where the SD card would take too much time. Does the job quickly and is nicely compact so it can actually take it with me.

Where do I start with this thing? The build quality seems very nice. But, the very first time I used it I noticed that it was having issues. What was happening is the micro SD card slot would not work and that was the main reason I bought it. So to overcome this issue I would use a normal SD card slot with the micro to SD adapter. It kind of defeated the purpose of buying this but it's the only way I could get my pictures off. Having had a lot of trouble with returns lately I did not want to do a return and just was going to use it with its flaws. Then I started plugging it in yesterday and it was showing me that it had two and sometimes three letters for it. So it was telling me that it was drive g, drive h, and drive I! At that point I decided to format the card that was in it and it not only formatted the card that was in this thing it formatted my external hard drive with all my pictures and videos for The Last 5 Years. I did have a backup but it was from 6 months ago so basically I lost half of years worth of pictures and videos. This thing has been pretty much nothing but a big headache. I don't know at this point if I should buy a second one and send this one back or just call it a day or purchase a different brand from a different company.

Bought this when I got a new camera that required CFExpress Type B. It was quite a bit more than an SD card reader, but wow it is fast comparatively. I use it with my MacBook Pro M2 Pro and Mac Mini M2

And most importantly, reasonably priced! I was a little worried about using such expensive cards with a reader from a non-mainstream brand, but those (Sony, ProGrade, even Lexar) can be as much as 2-3 times more expensive.Well, my fears are now gone. This is very well made, and performs very well. Yes it does heat up a bit, but all devices that transfer data at this speed do. I've used it on the field, no problem at all. It looks like Sabrent is a reliable, cost-effective brand.

Solo lo pude utilizar 2 veces, y en esa segunda vez, le brinco un resorte y básicamente ya no hizo el click la memoria en el adaptador y ya no la puede leer.No se si fue defecto del producto o es un producto delicado porque tengo años trabajando con adaptadores de tarjetas y dif tarjetas y se que debe de insetarse sin hacer presion etc...

Nothing much to say. Performs as expected. Slightly lower than advertised speeds but nothing much to complain about.Comes in a good packaging and you can register to get warranty.

Auf der Suche nach einem schnellen Lesegerät für meine UHS II Speicherkarten bin ich beim SABRENT SD Kartenleser fündig geworden und kann ihn aus folgenden Gründen weiterempfehlen:+++ Verarbeitung und Design +++Der Kartenlese schon klein und schlicht gehalten. Mit superleichten 33g findet er in so ziemlich jeder Tasche platz ohne dabei bemerkt zu werden.+++ Geschwindigkeit +++Das Kartenlesegerät unterstützt auch schnelle UHS II SD Karten sowie MicroSD Karten und kann diese GLEICHZEITIG auslesen. Bei den gemessenen 290mb Leserate war meine V60 Karte der limitierende Faktor. Mit einer schnellen Karte hätte das Lesegerät vermutlich noch bessere Werte erreicht.+++ Fazit +++Schneller und super kompaktes SD Kartenlesegerät mit sehr gutem Preis/Leistungsverhältnis

Teniendo en cuenta que hay lectores por x3 el precio de este que hacen lo mismo por ahora muy contento. La velocidades son las indicadas (Obviamente conectado a un USB C de alta capacidad y copiando los datos a un disco rápido, no esperéis velocidades altas copiando a un HDD)Muy buenos materiales ya acabado. Por ahora muy contento.
