We bought these for our grandaughters birthday to go with her new microscope, she loves them, so it's a good way of getting youngsters interested nature around them easily!

Voluntary review of a product that I purchased and paid for.Set comprises 48 samples of four sample groups: plants, flowers, insects and animals.Everything on a safe to use clear plastic slides. Ideal for kids use without extra supervision of an adult.In general quality is decent.I have found 4 slides which are poorly made (contains residual trace of material, not substantial enough for observation). Bigger issue is resin/bonding agent used for slides. Due to the sample being compromised by resin some of the slides are difficult to observe under the microscope.Plastic used for sliders is not scratch resistant so handle with care.All in all this biological sample specimen set is a good entry level science kit for kids.I’m convinced that is a good science introduction to something bigger or broadening the scope of child interests and hobbies,Purchased on request of my 8yr old son. Now during the lockdown is one of his favoured activities.Surprizes me every time when microscope and books taking over streaming service or gaming console time.

Great set of slides really interesting and well put together

My eldest got a microscope so we got this to supplement that and have some coolThings to look at. Just need a good way to store them as slides seem a irregular size as don’t fit in a normal slide case.

This item is brilliant for someone who loves looking really close up at insects etc. Would recommend this product if buying a Microscope for your child.

These slides are like Monopoly money - imitation and clearly not the real thing. There are lots of bubbles left behind from the preparation of these slides - all of which show through the lens, leading to confusion for infant scientists using a microscope for the first time.On the other hand, with guidance and explanation from adults who know the difference, the slides are very clearly labelled and there is a very diverse range of items to interest little minds.Reasonable value and with a little sorting through there is enough of interest to make these slides worth the money.

Very good quality slides and educational too. A minor con: soft cardboard boxes, somehow not very appropriate to keep the slides. I think a wooden box would be perfect for all slides.

Bought these as an add on to a microscope gift for a 5 year old. It was a very good choice. The slides are much more usable than the ones that came with the microscope. They are perfect for children because the speciman is in the middle and on one side picture clue and words on the other. Great for young scientists!
