My door swings closed an latches perfectly
The old strike plate was too short and the bolt caught on tge molding, so I had to shoulder it closed. Simple fix that works.

Its what it advertised, but....
Its a standard household door plate; extended as advertised. However, for the price, it is really flimsy. Ok, it will work, but its really just cheap stamped metal. Probably costs pennies to make. But, if you need it then go ahead and buy it. Generally the shape in uniform and it will do the job. I just feel its overpriced.

I finally got this to work for a Schlage lock
I have a thick entry wall that needed the extended strike plate for our Schlage lockset. I removed our previous strike plate and realized that the opening for the lockset plunger, so the door didn't seal against the weatherstripping, so I had to chisel the door frame more than I realized to make sure the part of the strikeplate was in position to enable a seal. For this reason, I felt that it was not as easy to install as I had expected, but it seems to be made well for the cost.

Thin metal
So this did the job, but there were 2 problems...1) this was used to replace a factory strike plate that was thicker material and had rounded corners on the back edge. It was necessary to grind/round out the square corners to fit.2) this is MUCH thinner metal than the original that resulted in a little shimming and puttying to make it fit in the same mortice spot as the original. While this was not as simple "screw it in" it did get the job done and extend the strike plate out past the casing trim that was installed too close to the door frame.
