Great Value, Beautiful 14c28n blade
Well I got this knife because it went on sale for 50% off and man what a deal I got! It’s an awesome knife with a really nice 14c28n blade that came super sharp! It’s really smooth operating and blade snaps out with authority! Lock up is great and when the liner lock is released it drops shut! It’s a larger knife is a little heavy for an edc but I knew this when I purchased it! Don’t know how anybody could say anything bad about this knife! Also there is nice grippy jimping on the flipper and the back of the blade! You can choke up with the large finger choil and really work the blade! I personally like the size of this knife and it feels comfortable in the hand! Another awesome knife from Sitivien I have 6 now! Easy 5 stars for this knife!👍

Slightly Dissapointed
The good: Really nice 14c28n blade razor sharp right out of the box - Blade shape is wicked cool - Micarta looks good - big knife, big handle, comfortable in the hand - smooth smooth action The bad: Slight side-to-side blade wobble when locked open. Tightened the pivot screw down as far as it would go, no dice - I own several ST knives and this is the first one that does not lock up 100% - The liner lock is weak and can fail BE CAREFUL It's a $30 knife right. But I own many other $30 knives that are rock solid, some of them other ST knives. It's going into my growing knife collection and won't be used EDC so I'm not returning it, but if I was going to use it every day it would definitely go back!

Great Knife
Sitivien knifes are definitely the best bang for your buck! The overall look is amazing and it feels like a quality knife. The G10 grips have sleek designs and feel great in your hands. The 14C28N Steel Blade is very robust and feels very durable. The blade pivots very smoothly and has zero slop. The locking mechanism works flawlessly and feels super secure. This is another great knife from Sitivien and will go nicely into the collection. I highly recommend this knife to anyone needing an EDC or even just adding to the collection.

It's a "cool" knife.
Ok, so first off. This is not something I'd consider for an EDC knife. It's big and thick (not bad attributes, to be fair). However, it is beautifully made and looks absolutely great. Makes sense that it was designed by David Chen, he designs some truly beautiful stuff for Two sun. I got this for cheap, on a sale for like $15 and I am extremely happy with this purchase. It came shaving sharp, it's 14C28N and feels snappy when opening it via flipper tab. The G10 and the colors on the scale are beautiful, too. This is a nice showpiece kind of knife, although you could EDC it if you wanted to.

Large and solid
This knife is awesome. It is not a lightweight edc. It is heavy, sturdy with great action. No play in the blade and razor sharp. At least the one I received. It could easily be used for a hunting knife for deer size game. For the price, throw in a backpack, tool box or hunting pack. When you need to cut anything, it will be ready! I own a lot of knives and this is one of very few brands that quality to price can not be beat. If money is a factor, this is great

14c28n is budget steel with great performance.
Ugly knife but it’s good blade geometry. I use it for food and stays in my lunch box.

There are reasons
I have a few Sitivien knives, and always had the highest praise for their quality and shape. This one, however, shot that impression down, quickly. First, let me say that the design, scales (yellow & black), the overall shape, and functions are pretty top notch. That would be the case if the knife were in 'new' condition. About all that one can say that is good. The bad? Looking at the knife and starting with the blade, the blade, although sharp, it is covered with marks. These marks ranged from minimal scratches barely noticeable without a microscope, to serious ones that distract from the appearance. Not that the blade is damaged, but a brand-new knife, right out the box, I would expect the blade to be 'mark' free. The steel used is one of the best. Capable of holding an edge with minimal effort. Right near one of the scratches, however, a closer examination revealed a "nick" (detected when you conduct a sharping test). It will, for me, take a deal of time to buff that out. Moving down towards the handle, where the blade meets the handle. There was an unknown substance that could only be removed with super-fine grit paper (1,000 grit). Removing it caused more issues than solving. This too will have to buffed out with super grit paper. Now to the handle. There, again was this substance along with what one could classify as an etched mark. More in-tune with a minimal scratch. My immediate thought at that point was this was a "used" (returned) knife. The packaging might give me more evidence as it too, appeared to be 'crushed'. Trying to buff that out was not an option. Closing and opening the blade was not easy. It literally felt like it was held in place with a magnet. Overall? The one star, for this knife, isn't low enough and that is due to previous Sitivien knifes were well beyond par and that is what I compared it against. I'm sure this was either a mistake in quality control and allowing this to slip by or it a Sitivien second (kniife not meeting standards but still can be sold (usually for a lower price), or was, as is the case with most knives I've seen here, a re-issue of a returned knife. Simple repolish, clean, wrap, and send out under the pretext of being a new factory knife. It will most likely take more of my resources that I'm willing to expend to return and with a little work (actually a lot of work) I may be able to restore it to a qualified substitute for my better knives. If not? It will work as a demo knife that I can experiment on. Not all Sitivien knives are terrible, they are actually good. This one is not living up to that reputation or my expectations.
