What started as anticipation of a new cat food for my cats, turned into sheer disappointment
I really don't like doing reviews on cat or dog food. Why? Because just like humans, animals have tastes and preferences. Just because a particular animal may not like a specific food product, that doesn't mean that others won't either. The same holds true for vice versa.Having said that, I was looking forward to getting this Almo Nature variety cat (for cats). My cats have been hooked on both Applaws and Reveal cans of cat food for close to a year low - mainly because these brands feature food that have textures and tastes similar to human food.Recently, I decided that I wanted to give my cats something different for a change in the event they grow tired of the two brands I mentioned above. So when I saw this Almo Nature brand, I jumped at the opportunity to try it. I liked the advertisement information, and the photos of what the food looked like had me thinking that my cats would just devour this brand.Unfortunately, it wasn't to be. All 5 of my cats did when I first opened a few cans of the Almo Nature variety pack food was to walk up, take a sniff, and then just walk away. They didn't even want to try it - now go figure. So for the next several days, I tried it again. I laid out the food, and this time they took a bite or two and then walked away again - it was uncanny really. Because for what you pay for this brand food and its ingredients, one would assume that cats would just love the taste. When I realized that my cats did not like the Almo Nature food, I gave the batch to my neighbor who also has several indoor cats. My neighbors and I tend to swap foods if our cats don't care for a particular brand. To my surprise, several days later, my neighbor asked if I wanted the cat food back because their cats did not care for the taste - again, now go figure? Now get this - we also feed feral cats on our rear porch because we live next to the woods. At any given time in the mornings, we tend to feed 5 - 8 different feral cats on our patio. So I thought I'd feed them this Almo Nature food. To my surprise - stunning really - they only ate part of what I laid out for them - which I found highly unusual because they usually inhale everything we put out for them.So the moral of the story here is that we were really looking forward to try this Almo Nature canned cat food, but a variety of cats (ours, the neighbors, and outside feral) didn't care for the taste of this brand. That's what it is and all I can do is report and review what we've tried.Your mileage (with your cats) may differ - good luck.

Impressed
I honestly didn't know what to expect. However, it resembled real food and my cats ate all of it. I split 1 can between 2 cats. I will purchase again. My cats are so picky. So to see it eaten up made me happy.
