Daylight heat lamp which emits UVA besides natural light and heat. Most dinural reptiles (water dragons; chameleons; monitors amongst a few) can see UVA. The colours in their environment can look totally different to them when viewed under UVA light. A lack of UVA is likely to have a profound effect upon behaviour, and specifically how they visualise food items. UVA is crucial for creating natural looking surroundings for these reptiles, making it easier for them when trying to look for food, or when trying to breed. Rated at 100W, fitting is ES 25mm (1") screw type.

Having had my tortoise for forty years and never used a lamp before, I was surprised how much he loved basking under it and definitely speeded up his waking-up after hibernation. Now he daily spends time under it until the day warms up.

Danger danger! high voltage!
Cheap & does the job but as others said beware of splashes , my pipe disconnected caused a splash and the bulb exploded into the tank

Good value
I gave this bulb 5 stars as it’s the best one I’ve found for the price and it’s dimmable. I’ve had one that only lasted a few months but also had ones that have lasted over 12 months.

Decent price but not very durable
Good price but they break very very easily. If the tiniest drop of water touches the bulb it will stop working

A lot stronger than my original bulb and my horsfield tortoise seems to be more active which is lovely (:

Consistently Terrible
These bulbs are consistently terrible, never lasting more than a month before blowing. Avoid.

I use it for sculpting :P
Very very good quality and good source of heat. Please bear in mind however that I am not using this to heat up a terrarium but instead I use it to warm up my clay before I start sculpting!Brilliant!
