Exactly the right size
This is the perfect size bag. I like to go to the LeFrak center at Prospect Park to skate. It's a nice rink inside of a beautiful public park. When I go, which is often, it's rarely to do just one thing. I wanted a bag that could accomodate all I needed to bring with me, be convenient to carry on long walks through the park, and be small enough to fit into the rental lockers. This checked every box.The side compartments are ample for even very large skates. I use long quads, and they barely fit the compartment. Roller blades or ice skates, even in a large man's size, will fit with no issue. These compartments are huge. I find it easier to put them in wheels up, but that's a convenience, not a neccesity. They just slide down easier that way.If I put my helmet in the main area first, then put the rest of my protective gear in the helmet, it leaves room enough for my wallet and keys as well as some other park stuff, such as a sketchbook and some pencils for urban sketching. There is also a front pocket for my phone and maybe a sandwich for a picnic. I can even stick the picnic blanket with all the other stuff in the main area or cheat and let it sit in one of the side pockets with the skates. The straps for the backpack are a little odd. I would have expected them on the longer not the shorter end. This makes the pack prodrude more than strictly necessary when I'm walking in a crowded street or on the subway. That's my biggest complaint about this, and not enough to ding it a star. I can use the handles on top at need.Overall, this exceeds expectations.

The perfect bag to tote all of your skating equipment
This bag is roomy enough to hold all your pads and helmet and there's still room for bulky padded shorts. I like how your skates are stored one per side, making the bag balanced. Big plus for the backpack straps.

Great Bag
This bag has an amazing amount of storage. It’s bigger than I thought which is a plus because it holds more without having to stuff it in there.

Sturdy as heck; enormous also.
Will hold men's size 12 Rollerblade Twister XT 4x80 inline skates, & adult size skate helmet (& full-finger wrist guard gloves), and more. This is a BIG BAG (side to side & front to back); it has to be big to hold the skates (in side pockets) AND have space for an adult helmet in the top. Look at the measured dimensions before you buy it. It protrudes from your back ~ 2.5 times the size of a regular backpack - you won't be able to leave this on your back on a subway train (or while you skate). It's the size of a small piece of luggage. It is sturdy, though - well-made. Between the $46 Goburos bag, and the $52 Goburos bag, this is the bigger one.

Nice bag, but just too big
This is a nice quality bag however I'm not sure what everyone is talking about. I can't fit my size 6 Quad skates down in the side pockets unless I take out my protective gear and helmet. Even then they don't fit all the way down in the pocket. It's made as if it is for rollerblades or ice skates rather than quads. But the bag is HUGE! Much too large and bulky to be carrying around. It just not what I was hoping for at all.

Five Stars
The media could not be loaded. Hello!I decided to learn how to roller skate at 38, and I needed a bag that would hold everything I needed to not break my neck. I found all the apparel I needed on Amazon, but all the bags I found were too small, designed for ice/inline skates, or both. This bag is excellent and meets all my needs with room to spare (and can be worn as a backpack). When I looked at reviews for other bags, I couldn't tell if the items in the videos were adult-size or not, so here is a list of the items I put in the bag. It could also fit my laptop and charger in the side pocket.Moxie “Lolly” Skates size 7S One Mega Lifer HelmetAdult knee, elbow, and wrist padsBand-aid travel first aid kitBodyprox Padded Skate Shorts adult size LTripod for iPhone 14 Pro Max (to record practices)Skate toolEdit: I flew to Atlanta for a skate birthday party and the bag survived being checked and also protected everything inside.Hope this helps!!!

So much room!!
I love how much room is available in this bag! It's like the Mary Poppins bag but for roller derby! I have my skates in the side pockets, mouth guard in the outer pocket, then all my pads and helmet in the huge middle pocket. I even have extra wheels in the mix and still have room. It's really heavy with everything in it and I don't like how the bag sits on my back when wearing it properly, so I usually just carry it by the straps.
