This has a quick lock mechanism which makes it well-suited to drilling applications using hex bits. A number of other right angle adaptors, including Trend's SNAP/ASA/3, rely solely on a magnet and are designed more for 1" insert bits and screwing applications only.If you're trying to decide between this and Trend's ASA/3, this is better in every way except that it is slightly deeper - about 50 mm compared to 33 mm and doesn't work with their 17 mm mini bit.It is advertised for 57 Nm max torque on their website and 60 Nm on the packaging, which is best-in-class for these types of adaptors. Turning the shank by hand you can feel very little resistance and fairly smooth operation.

I seem to have many of these right angle drivers but none work very well. This one is the best I have used. Well worth the money.

Wow, in the search for a way to screw the curtain rail down in the front of a caravan with sloping front wall I came across these, did the job perfectly and a fantastic addition to anyone's tool kit.Seems well made, the driver bits lock in to place like an impact drill.

Haven't used it much, very much a niche item that you need rarely but when you do it's invaluable. Very high quality parts and solid build quality. There's a small plastic handle that screws in to the left or right side of the head (after you remove the black screws currently there) which honestly I'm not even sure what it is for. The locking collar holds the bits firmly, but shorter head bits can be fiddly to remove if you are a tradesman doing it a lot or especially with gloves. Might be best to stick to the 50mm bits in those cases if you have the room.
