Going through perimenopause at the moment- hot flushes are horrendous and lasting for a long time. Used this for the first time today- so lovely to have a little relief that lasts a long time.

These patches come in individual pouches which you have to cut open. Try as I might, I couldn't rip one open, so that was a bit of a pain. When I have a hot flush I need to do something about it fast, not fiddle about with scissors to open a pack. I was having a hot flush when I first tried one of the patches. Initially I noticed that the fragrance was really lovely, and I loved how cold the patch was on my forehead. It did seem to help with the hot flush, and as I was in bed at the time I fell asleep. I woke up later having another hot flush, unfortunately the patch didn't seem to do anything for it that time. I think the initial cold burst when you put a new patch on is what really helps with hot flushes and while that lasts it is a Godsend. So I will definitely use these for that. My daughter suffers from migraines and she tried a patch during her last one. She said that the fragrance relaxed her, but for her, cold doesn't help with her migraines at all. We have tried migraine ice masks etc which also haven't worked. She said she would prefer to use them in the summer just to help her cool down. £7.99 at the time of this review seems a reasonable price for the pack, and if they work better for you than they did for me then they will be worth every penny. I think if I used one for every hot flush I have I would break the bank keeping them stocked. I think I will just keep them for particularly bad flushes, or just to cool me down and relax me in the summer.

This is the second 'BeYou' product I've tried, the first being their period patches. I get quite a lot of headaches and rarely get a very bad migraine attack every few months, so it's always handy to have products like this at home. So far as 'cooling' patches go, I tend to keep mine in the fridge for an extra burst of coolness when I first apply them. There are 10 patches in a box, so unless you're using them very frequently, one box at £7.99 should last a while. I'd say the price seems fair for the amount. So far as the claim that they last up to 8 hours, I'm doubtful. As I said before, I've already used this brand's period patches which are a similar thing to these forehead ones but obviously just designed for period cramps instead, and I was lucky to get half the time out of them that they were meant to last, but I suppose that may vary from person to person. Overall, they're worth £7.99 for sure as they do help with general headaches etc, but for how long is debatable. I can't comment on if they work for hot flushes or menopause symptoms as I am not at that stage of life and don't experience such things, but for headaches, they're okay.

In an attempt to avoid taking more medication, as I take a fair amount already, I was interested to try these BeYou Cooling Forehead Patches. You get 10 patches in the pack and they are formulated to give relief when suffering from hot flushes and tension headaches and they also claim to help you sleep. The patches are infused with Basil, Rosemary and Menthol and provide instant cooling. They are basically like big plasters that you put on your forehead and they are reasonably comfortable when in place. They have good adhesion and you can leave them in place for up to eight hours. They are easy to remove which is a definite plus. If you want to avoid medication for hot flushes and headaches they were certainly worth a try. They offer a cooling and calming solution and they get to work quickly. Whilst they are not overly expensive, they are too much for me to use on an everyday basis but as a ‘now and then’ solution they work well and I would definitely get them again.
