SURPRISINGLY GOOD FOR THE MONEY
I WAS A LITTLE SCEPTICLE WHEN I FOUND THIS SUB, AS A "QUICK FIX" FOR A MUCH MORE EXPESIVE SPEAKER WHICH HAD FAILED.THE "DUAL VOICE COIL" SET UP CAUSED A BIT OF HEAD SCRATCHING, AND NUMEROUS YOUTUBE VIDEOS DIND'T HELP MUCH, UNTIL I FOUND ONE THAT EXPLAINED IN VERY SIMPLE (IDIOT PROOF) TERMS.IT WAS A MARGINALLY LARGER DIAMETER THAN THE OUTGOING SPEAKER, BUT A FEW MINUTES OF FRANTIC SANDING SAW IT FITTING SNUG IN THE SEALED SUB BOX.WITH SIMPLE "PUSH BUTTON" CABLE CONECTORS, INSTALLATION AND WIRING WAS A BREEZE!IT'S OBVIOUSLY NOT AS GOOD QUALITY AS THE OLD SUB, AND IT'S PLASTIC CONSTRUCTION WAS A CONCERN THAT TURNED OUT TO BE UNFOUNDED.HOOKED UP TO A STINGER 700 WATT BRIDGED AMP I AM MORE THAN HAPPY WITH THE SOUND, AND IT HANDLES HIGH VOLUME, WITH THE AMP GAIN AT 3/4 WITHOUT ANY DISTORTION.I HAVE IT WIRED TO GIVE 2 OHM RESISTANCE, AND EVEN AFTER AN HOUR SETTING IT UP, IT'S NOT EVEN WARMIT HAS AN "ON LINE" WARRANTY REGISTRATION CARD, WHICH GIVES A STANDARD 13 MONTH WARRANTY, SO IF IT FAILS DURING THE FIRST WEEK OR SO, I'LL HOPEFULLY BE COVERED?IT KICKS REALLY HARD, AND SURPRISINGLY LOW BASS NOTES WERE ACHIEVED EVEN AT LOW VOLUME, WHICH IS VERY IMPRESSIVE.I'M NOT A TECHNICAL WIZARD, SO WON'T BE QUOTING FIGURES, BUT IT WORKS, AND SOUNDS GREAT.I'M NOT SURE WHY THERE ARE NEGATIVE COMMENTS, AS I AM MORE THAN HAPPY WITH THIS SUB, AND AT JUST OVER £30.00 IT HAS EXCEEDED MY EXPECTATIONS WITHOUT QUESTION. I CAN ONLY ASSUME, PEOPLE ARE WIRING INCORRECTLY, OR MASSIVELY OVERPOWERING THEM?KEEP YOUR EXPECTATIONS LOW, AND I GUARANTEE YOU WON'T BE DISSAPOINTED!

Nope nope nope, don't bother Pyle of poop.
Wired upto my 400w rms vibe amp and it blew the ass out of it within 5min.Quarter volume approx 100w 2ohm and it started to distort.Prob 75w rms at best, definatly nowhere near 500w rms could probably blow it with a 1.5v batteryEven if I was given one for free it wouldn't be worth the effort screwing it into a box

Cinema sub replacement driver.
Bought this to replace the driver in my Paradigm PDR-10 cinema subwoofer as it blew the cone, which had degraded over the years. As its dual coil I wired these in series. Back to amazing sound, great cinema experiences at home {aka star wars}. Very pleased with it.

Blew up too easily
Given that's it's less than £30, it does alright. I've been feeding it about 250-300w for about half an hour everyday.Sound quality is ok, had a lot of knocking in it's first couple of days but that went away. Volume and bass can get reasonable but it complains well before you apply 500w. It's never going to hit like my 15" L7 Kicker or pair of 12" RELs at home, but it's good enough for the price.Edit: Knocked it down a star as it blew up less than 6 months after purchase, running at half the RMS it claims to be. Meanwhile I have subs at home that are 23 years old and can run flat out all day, you get what you pay for.

Definitely not 500w RMS
This sub is apparently rated up to 500w RMS. It's dual coil 4 Ohms so you can wire it to 8 Ohms or 2 Ohms.I wired mine to 2 Ohms and plugged it into my Alpine Amp which is capable of 375w RMS at 2 Ohms. With the Amp at 50% (190w) this sub sounds decent and punches good bass. However, anything above 190w and there is a distinct rattle in the sub. It can't even handle 200w so not sure how it's rated 500w!I'll update this review after a week to see if it needs wearing in first but the rattle at 200w is very concerning even if wear in is needed first.
