Excellent taste and value for the money

My father in law loves fig newtons, but my mother in law doesn’t buy them often because they aren’t healthy. Every year we buy him this guilty pleasure for Father’s Day and throw it in his gift bag. This year I was excited to see fig Newman’s because I had not seen them before and I know my mother in law would approve of the organic, low fat alternative. I opened a box after seeing several reviews that they were stale. The box I opened was anything but. They were moist and delicious! My family devoured the box in two day, and my 4 year old absolutely loved them!! I don’t usually like fig stuff but these were so good! We were originally going to give him all six boxes but lol we took two out of the boxes for ourselves and I’m going to subscribe and save for the future of course share with grandad. Also are a great alternative to my daughters typical cookie of choice, Oreos of which she only eats the middle. Win win!!

These taste more like figs and better cookie, great quality. I also prefer to support this company. Was super fresh, nowhere near expiration date. You can tell if you get an older pkg of any type of fig newtons of any brand as they dry out. Since I can't get these elsewhere locally, willing to pay the price occasionally.

We love Fig Newmans, but our local grocery store stopped carrying them so we thought we'd try getting them from Amazon. Unfortunately, the pack of 6 arrived already stale. They are still edible, but are noticeably dry and stale. Not bad enough to return, but not fresh enough to try buying them again, either.Note that we got these delivered Prime overnight, so it was not an issue with delays in transit, or anything. Disappointing.

It's too bad that so many snacks have gone the High Fructose Corn Syrup route. I can count on the Newman's brand, and with their Fig Newmans, I can enjoy a snack I've been having for 40 years, without any unnecessary guilt or worry. Richly fruited, with a lovely cookie texture, this balances just the right amount of sweetness. A few in a school lunch now and then always brings a smile. I particularly like this snack because just one or two is very satisfying, as opposed to chips or something overly addictive, when two is just the beginning. I'll be buying these as long as Amazon keeps such a great price on them. A box of 6 packs every other month is perfect for our house.

We were very excited, actually counting down the days till our product arrived, when it finally did yesterday. My children, who are fans of Newman's Fat Free Fig's, absolutely adored the individual packages we were buying from Trader Joes/Whole Foods for years now. So, my wife and I made a minuscule investment in a 6 container shipment of Newman's product. When my eldest daughter, Kira, opened the box and tried to get a single cookie out of the box, she had extreme trouble, as the cookies all seemed to have morphed into one giant "fruit and cake bar". Being the diligent mother, my wife, Livvy is, she immediately grabbed the package and a knife and began to separate each individual cookie from each individual package. When our son, Danny, came home from football, he was thrilled that the cookies were here, separated and ready to eat, and he took a bite. The first things out of his mouth were things my wife and I have taught him never to say out loud, or to anyone else, about any food he ingests, as millions do not have the privileges that he does and millions go to bed each night without food. Nothing can stop a teenager, he said, "ew, Dad, these are the gummiest, firmest Newman's Fat Free Figs ever!". We reinforced his upbringing and told him never to utter words like that again, he apologized and went to bed. Bottom line, we all agree, the cookies, Newman's Own Organics Fig Newmans, Fat Free are delicious. That is only the case if you buy them package by package from your local markets. I'm sorry to have had to written such a negative review about such a great product. I guess everything went wrong in shipping and handling.

These are the only fig bars I like. It has been a few years since I purchased them. Looked for them in a local grocery story and couldn’t find them so decided to try Amazon. I know COVID caused stores to reduce their inventory. This was advertised as a Pack of 6 but it was only 5 in the box. Perhaps it was a flux. Will order again and see if I get 6.

In my experience so far the low fat ones are just as they were for the past decade. The wife and I love them. Never tried strawberry and havent bought fat free or wheat free since I first tried them back around 2010. They were both very dry, nothing like the low fat ones. Wish they would separate reviews for different flavors. Have gotten 6 separate orders over the last few years and have had no issues yet, the most recent purchases have been 6-8 months from being out of date and have tasted very fresh, just like when I used to buy them in Jewel before they disappeared years ago. .
