Pete at Solice was very helpful and eager to resolve the issue I had with my first battery ASAP. The first battery started going down hill within about a week, so I let him know. He sent me a new battery right away and it arrived quickly; I was impressed with the speed of delivery of both batteries considering having to go through Canada customs. I have had the second one for over a month now and it is working great. My 17" laptop runs for 2.25 hrs on a charge, the original ASUS battery lasted ~2 - 2.5 hrs so this one is doing just as good. It's nice that the low battery warnings are working well again, as they stopped giving me any warning a couple years ago.

The media could not be loaded. I received a battery with different ratings 11.1V 58Wh and NOT the 10.8V 56Wh that I ordered. This came in a package marked deceptively. On one end it has the right specs of the order and on the other end it's got the actual description of the battery. This battery does not work in my laptop.

The battery itself does not hold power too incredibly long for streaming or watching videos, but not too many do. I'm happy with this replacement. It has worked well and as expected.

The battery fits perfectly and its charge capacity is very similar to the original battery.Maybe it is a little heavier than the original, but I never weighed it.I've been using it for 1 month now, using about 1h of battery 2-3 times a week (rest of time it is plugged in) and it is as new.I have an Asus N56V and a full battery lasts somewhere between 1h20-2h00 for me, depending on the usage.

1 Year Update: This battery just died on me after almost exactly a year since I got it. Before it died, it was giving me about an hour battery life, fully charged. Towards the end, it started charging only to 20% and didn't increase after several hours, so I took out the battery and it looks like it got some battery bloat. Overall it's a disappointment but not totally unexpected. This purchase was my 3rd time replacing the battery and it was the best so far (an earlier replacement died after <6 months). I'll probably go for this battery again - after all, it's cheaper than a new laptop. Downgraded this review from 4 to 3 stars for lack of longevity.Old review:This battery fits my N56JN-MB71 perfectly. Had nearly 3.5 hours of battery life (running no programs) the first time I charged it up, just like my stock battery when I first got the laptop 4 years ago. Currently 1:44 left on 59%, so pretty average. Since I'm planning on keeping this laptop for a few more years, I'll look to SOLICE for my future battery replacements. No complaints so far, but will update this review if anything changes.

I had to return this item after a couple of weeks, the battery died.

I had had this now long enough to provide a decent reasonable test. This has worked great and provided the battery life as advertised, very reasonable price and I would seek out this vendor again for another.

Estoy muy contento con la compra de este producto. Para empezar, la bateria llegó antes. La bateria tiene todas las caractarísticas que se dicen en el anuncio y le quedó perfecta a mi computador, un ASUS N56J. La duración de la batería es buena, dura aproximadamente 2 horas y media. En este aspecto, estuve investigando mucho antes de comprar esta bateria, leí varias de sus revisiones. La mayoría decian que esta batería duraba eso, entre 2 y 3 horas. Hay que tener en cuenta que la batería original, jamás me duró más de 3 horas y después de mas o menos 4 años de uso, no duraba sino 10 minutos prendida. Otra cosa importante, es que los avisos de que la bateria se está agotando volvieron a aparecer, porque con la batería original ya no aparecían. En conclusión estoy muy satisfecho con la compra, porque logré mi objetivo de ganar un par de horas de independencia de la corriente, así que recuperé un poco de lo "portatil" de la compu.
