John Frieda Radiant Red Boosting Shampoo 250 ml, Shampoo for Red Hair, Colour-Boosting and Depositing Shampoo for Redheads

I have naturally red hair but with age I have a few white hairs around hairline so have been using a colour on my hair to rejuvenate it a bit. Using this shampoo and the conditioner on my hair helps the colour stay brighter for longer. This was my second purchase. Smell is lovely and leaves my hair really soft. Only thing to watch out for even though I rinsed my hair thoroughly after conditioning there were a few red marks left on my white towels but these did come out on a hot wash. My tip is to use an older darker towel.

we get this to send to my granddaughter shes got the redest hair ive every seen she loves it and you can definately tell when shes used it nice and soft but her hair is so rich and bouncy

Here is my honest review please read:I only ordered the shampoo, it worked slightly. For example, my hair is dyed ‘vermillion’.I left it on for two mins, it gave a *slightly* bolder colour to my hair as it was looking a little more brownish/faded red. Though, it made my hair a little dry.I then ordered it with the conditioner and I can definitely say that it’s much better using both with the colour AND the brittle feeling wasn’t there as much.My sister who is naturally ginger and had quite bright orange hair used this also, it made her hair look glossier, but didn’t to too much colour wise.Also, if you have 4c hair or any kind of curls, just be cautious it can make them feel more dry, make sure to do a mask afterwards even if you have used the conditioner of this brand.I definitely think it is worth the price and it is great for getting another week or two out of your hair colour before dying it again, very good!

I have copper auburn hair (coloured) and have highlights to blend the grey. I use this to tone my hair every week or so. Leave on 5 mins after shampooing for rose gold highlights. Smells amazing and leaves hair soft and shiny. Amazing product.

I love this for keeping my colour fresh every wash, also very softening, top marks!

The conditioning aspect was good, left my hair nice and soft for once. However it is not a colour deposit conditioner. Buy Biolage instead.

What I ordered

I wanted to leave this review incase anyone else has found themselves here with accidental green hair. My hair was quite a strong browny green after a gloss gone wrong (I needed to use one with red undertones, learned my lesson now). I bought this after seeing another review, unfortunately it didn’t work for me at first when I followed the instructions and left it on for 10 mins on wet hair.So here’s what worked for me: I used just the conditioner 2x as instructed on wet hair (didn’t work fully but reduced the green a little) I then put it onto dry hair and left it on indefinitely, it began to dry into my hair and I noticed the green was almost entirely gone. So I used a hairdryer and fully dried it into my hair. And then I rinsed it and used josh wood chocolate brown gloss which has red undertones, and now the green is completely gone!I had tried ketchup, baking powder, head and shoulders, and nothing was working so if you have quite a strong green like I did this might work for you too! Hope this helps someone.
