This little safe works great, we've used it for a few months now and are pleased with it.

This safe works great for what I need it for. Seems to be real sturdy and the size is perfect for the spot I put it. I love it.

Safe is a good one....liked the waterproof packet and the two levels. The directions are a little misleading. Followed the directions step by step...reset the code by pushing the "0" twice and then the red reset button on the back of the door. Yellow light came on, and then put the new code in and pushed "0" to confirm. There were 3 beeps and not 2. Then the directions say to open.... put in the personal code and press "0" to confirm. The buzzer beeps, but no green light. Tried to do this multiple times, and even reset the password several times....but no green light and no entry. Luckily on page 5, #4....it mentions the # button for function confirmation, but not in the directions on page 4. I tried putting in the code, and then pressing # like in a hotel safe. It worked. The direction number 1 on page 4 on how to open the safe is incorrect..... # is needed and not 0. Directions on page 4 need corrected.

It works as advertised perfect size for home use with reasonable price and very easy to use and setup. The alternate key access is great in case you forgot the password. Also come with a free document pouch!

I was very close to returning this safe. I only needed a secure container to keep private docs from prying eyes in my household and from visitors so knew I wasn’t purchasing Fort Knox quality. Others have noted the mounting holes in the bottom and rear of the safe rendering it not fire- or waterproof if you wanted to use it freestanding. What is not mentioned is when placing the “Golden Cushions” on the bottom of the safe you MUST place the front cushions near the front of the bottom or the door swinging open will cause the safe to tilt forward if you don’t have heavy items in the safe. Also the manual doesn’t mention that when setting the date and time you MUST hit the asterisk (*) within 2 seconds after the -OPEN- display disappears. Entering time/date from a cold start will only result in triggering the alarm. Finally, there is no mention of the reset button location. Hint: look in the hinge area where you will also find the light. This safe absolutely demands a new manual that has been dummy-proofed by a 10-year old.

This safe is made of thin metal. The safe itself is NOT FIREPROOF. All they include is a fireproof envelope for documents. Not to mention the key and instructions were locked inside so you can’t access it unless you send the serial number to the seller to wait for them to mail you a key. This is a cheap safe. For what it’s supposed to protect, it is worth investing in something else of actual quality.
