Unfortunately they were type A midi .. I had to wire them to be Type B

Works to plug a midi keyboard into the Korg Volca FM2

Bought these for a Korg SQ-64 for midi out to synths. This adapter is exactly what I was looking for and I couldn’t be happier. Both cables work perfectly and are of good quality. MIDI connector was a bit tight tho, but seem to work fine. Thanks!

Update: 1/6/2025 This IS the correct adapter for the key step 37!! you will need a separate 5 pin male/male midi cable to connect to this converter ----------- Original review: While I'm sure the quality of this cable is great, this midi cable DOES NOT fit an arturia key step 37. It appears both the 37 and this cable connections are female, and do not actually connect up the devices. Amazon recommended I bundled this item with a Korg volca purchase, and I didn't realize these were female connections like the key step is That's my fault. I haven't touched my key step in forever and should have triple checked
