This is a decent recording and pressing. Unfortunately it was shipped from Amazon in a flimsy cardboard sleeve and arrived damaged on the corners of the album sleeve. How long have they been in business???

Karajan with the VPO -one of the best recordings of Holst's Planets. The vinyl is excellent and beautifully presented.

what is to be said, this album is without fault, its the best recording of this album i have ever heard, its a stonker, if you are after this music, then get this you will be mind blown, its great worth every penny. no more to say.

This premiered in 1918 and has had a significant influence on later recording artists including Black Sabbath. You will recognise some of the movements and this is a great recording.Classic FM reports that its opening pairs nicely with the opening sequence of Star Wars- which it does surprisingly well.

My step granddaughter into vinyl and loved this recording.

Great to finally have classical being re-issued on virgin vinyl

Cette oeuvre a tellement influencé la musique qu'on la retrouve partout : que ça soit John Williams dans Star Wars, Hans Zimmer pour Gladiator (qui à été poursuivit pour plagiat) ou bien Koji Kondo (qui à reprit le thème de Mars pour certains niveau de Super Mario 3) on ne compte plus les artiste qui ont puiser dans "Les Planètes" l'inspiration requise pour leur travail.
