POC Product
The media could not be loaded. Bought this item because of the twist tail feature. I have another brand of twist tail which I'm almost out. I needed this on a project I was working on. When I installed the cable ties IAW the instructions I twisted the tails numerous times IAW the product instructions. The tail will not break off. I did this process to numerous ties and none of the tails will break off. I went online to view various videos about the product and I was doing it as per the videos. Still the tails will not break off. I had a friend try it and the tails didn't break off for him on numerous cable ties he tried. I ended up having to cut all of the ties I installed and trim the sharp ends. Worst product ever.

Perfect for doing cheer hair
Bought these to attach my daughter's fake ponytail to her head for cheer competitions. Weave through the weave, tighten, and twist. The self-cutting mechanism takes away the chance of cutting a chunk of hair off. Gave 4 stars because the twist doesn't always work. I use cat claw clippers to cut it out without cutting her hair or the weave.

Nifty Zip Tie
Makes Zip Tying a lot quicker, you don't have to keep stopping to grab the clipper.

We love these.
We really like these cable ties. They're strong and built-in cutter works very well. I just wish they were available in more lengths.

Great Feature That Works. 50 Pk of Cable Ties.
What a great idea. Why didn't they think of this sooner. For years I have been cutting the excess with diagonal cutters and it always leaves pointy sharp corners that can scratch you. I use these professionally. These truly are "no tools needed" hand twistable and yes it cuts it within the head of the tie so that the finished product is a "no scratch" cleanly installed tie. Works great and looks great too.I really wish these listings had more of the pertinent information included in them. For anyone who is interested and that is probably everyone.... This is a 50 pk of ties. These are 11" long and will secure from a min 3/8" bundle to a max 3" bundle. You can use them with a cable tie tensioning tool, but the built-n cutter will work better than the tool's.It is rated for both indoor and outdoor use as it has UV stabilizers in the 6/6 nylon formula. However the max tensile strength is 50 lbs and that is for a standard indoor rating. Outdoor use will reduce the rating a bit due to environmental stresses. Min operating temps 32 F. Max 185 F. (0-85 C).They are slightly more expensive than the non-cutter versions, by a little ($1.50 or so). I consider it negligible and would opt for these every time. They may eventually become standard issue to have the cutter built-in. My only question that I haven't found answers to or been able to test yet is what the metal cutter is made of. I hope it doesn't rust, in which case that would limit some installations where that could pose a problem. I've dipped one in my salt water reef tank multiple times and so far it hasn't rusted. So it ooks good so far. But UV, Rain, Temps and Time will tell better. Initial Review Rating 5 Stars for Quality and Innovation.

Great for occasional indoor use, no more hunting for scissors.
These ties seem like a nice idea, unfortunately for me I found them a little rough on the fingers when twisting them. It was easier if I could twist the item I was bundling and just hold the excess tie still while doing so, but in most instances I am strapping something to an immovable object so I would be forced to twist the excess zip tie, and that was more work than it should be. After about 7 ties my fingers were done and off I went for a pair of scissors.Of course most people only use one or two at a time, so these could be very handy for that. I however, am a zip tie fanatic. For example I have a chicken coop made of chicken wire, wood poles and zip ties. I use dozens at a time, so I'll be sticking with wire cutters to cut them.Another thing I noticed is that these are about 1/16th” thinner than the standard zip ties of the same length. Again I know this because I have about 30 packs lying around the house of assorted sizes and these are thinner for the length. It may not seem like much of a difference, but for outdoor use it will cut down significantly on the wear strength and useful life. And the final thing that bothered me about them is the way it cuts almost flush with where it locks. If it slips even a notch or two the zip tie will come undone. I don't know maybe it's just me but I feel much more comfortable with a little strip about a 1/4 to 1/2 inch long sticking out the end. Gives me something to work with if I have to tighten it down later, and it can slip a bit and still be tied.On the good side they are fine for indoor use, the twist to cut is fine for a couple at a time, and keeping a couple of these in your junk drawer for emergencies will radically cut down on the time it takes to track down a pair of scissors. The price is not too far out of line compared to regular zip ties. To get a drastically better price you'd have to buy 1000 or more of the standards, and some places were selling standard zip ties of equal strength and length for the same price as these.Overall, while these are not something I would find super useful since I use them mostly in bulk and outdoors, they would be very handy for the occasional indoor use.

Exceptional; But Value Is In The Self-Cutting Feature, Not In The Cost
These are quality nylon plastic cable ties. This is one reason I rate these as a 5-star item. But the self-cutting feature that leaves a nice flush cable end is the other. There are times when you don't want any amount of cable sticking out after trimming with a wire cutter. In those situations this is the cable tie you want. Easy to use, too. Just remember: indoor use only (you can use outside but they're not rated as UV-resistant so they will degrade fairly quickly). But you pay for this feature. At $7.47 for 50 (Amazon price at the time of this review) you're paying $.15 per tie. Compare that with Premium Heavy Duty Zip Ties | Black Nylon Cable Ties | XGS Wire Ties by APTronix (10 Inch, Black) where you get 250 ties for $10.88 ($.04 per tie).If you need this self-cutting, flush-cut feature, I highly recommend these ties. But if all you need is a cable tie, then look elsewhere. Regardless, 5 stars.
