I absolutely loved loved loved this book. It’s a must have if you are wanting to get started on the wonderful hobby of coin collecting. Short, funny stories on personal experiences. Tips, tricks and lots of ideas on how to get the ultimate treasures(coins)..

Enjoyable book, and the tips are worthwhile. I tried collecting this way, but was discouraged by a lack of success. Having read this short book, I'm going to give it a go again and see what happens. Now I know a better way to do it.

Very basic information in these books. Short and easy to read.

Mark D. Smith spells out how to hunt for coins in a short but interesting read. He covers making friends with bank tellers, opening new accounts so you can deposit rolled coins and ask tellers to save coins for you.He explains what a "box of coins" is, what they cost and how to obtain them. He gives you hope that not all coins are gone into the collections of the collectors or melted down. Various die mistakes are discussed so you understand the basics. Important coins and dates to keep an eye out for are mentioned.This book is well written with no editing errors that jumped out at me.

I could read all of his books, this is my new favorite author and one of my favorite books. Now i know what i need to do to get some rare coins! (i was collecting coins abd i strugled a bit but now i know what to do thanks to Mark) I will definitely read more of his books.

This item was well written and any one that wants to become a coin collecter by using a metal detector would be it. Also you could find many other ways of collecting of all different types of of coins.

There were about 6 pictures of coins that anyone MIGHT find. Otherwise, it was collectibles, and rare coins that nobody will ever have in a piggy bank or pocket change. It was large print and the pictures were also large. There wasn’t much practical info in it.
