Sharp but Weighty
Having been a Nikon man for many years, firstly with the D series cameras, I eventually upgraded to the Z6ii. As any photographer knows it is not the camera cost, but the replacing lenses from one fit to another, in my case F mount to Z. Initially I got the FTZ adapter to use my F lenses, and one of my favourites was the Tamron 150-600mm G2, but I have now replaced it with the Nikon Z 180-600mm. After using it for a few weeks I must say I am well impressed with the results, pin sharp images on both the Z6 and Z6ii. I particularly like the internal focusing so that the lens length remains the same, much better balance especially when hand-held. The only downside is it is a bit on the heavy side, but I can live with that. I have attached a few pics taken recently. Oh, and why on earth don't Nikon provide a Swiss ARCA compatible tripod collar with their lenses!

Indispensable
Anyone with a Nikon Z camera who is interested in wildlife photography will wonder how they ever coped without this lens. Not a bank breaker like so many powerful lenses.

Nikon z180-600 lens.
Unfortunately as soon as I received the lens I attached it to my Z8and turned the camera on. OMG there was a terrible noise coming from the lens . Vibration was so bad that the monitor was flickering.I tried it on my Z6ii and the same thing happened so it went straight back to Amazon.

Very heavy, slightly soft
It’s heavier than I thought, can’t really shoot without monopod. Seems soft at all apertures and focal lengths a bit
