Awoken

This science fiction story is entertaining, well thought out and imaginative. Alex South creates a rich mythology in a fully fleshed out world. Interesting characters, landscapes and concepts abound. Well edited and written with a flowing style that makes for easy reading. I really appreciate a story that has complexity but is communicated in a way that I can process, understand and keep track of. A lot of talent is demonstrated here especially for a first novel, well done. I would think Awoken would appeal to readers of fantasy, science fiction and action. I will be watching for more from the author. Recommended.

I did enjoy reading this book! It was so different than what I was expecting. The characters just grab a hold of you and bring you into this strange world. It's a journey worth taking.

This is an interesting approach to storytelling, with a fairly original story to be told.P.S.The word "planes" in the synopsis is referencing a plane of existence, not an airplane or a wood working tool as some other trolling reviewer stated. Read the book, idiot.

This book is an amazing story with an equally amazing cast of characters. It dives in immediately, throwing readers into a bizarre new world at the brink of its extinction. The plot is one full of adventure, laughs, and tears. I thoroughly enjoyed it and can’t wait to see what else this author has in store.

Starts off kinda slow and has it's dry moments. Nevertheless, it is interesting enough that I consider it a decent story.
