Hello, I normally wear a size 5.5 -6 shoe size. In athletic shoes I wear a 6. I ordered a 6 in these and they were a tad too big do I had to send back for a 5.5... I would go 6.5 if you're going to wear thin sox with them because they slipped off at the heel. If you have the option to order both sizes and they are on sale, I'd do that. I had to send the 6 back that I got for $45 but ended up having to pay full price for the 5.5 because the same company was out of stock of the 5.5. Just letting you know my situation. Good luck
