Pegasus Hobbies Prepainted Crater Set PGH5215

I do a lot of tabletop stuff between Dragon Age and Warhammer 40k, so my time as far as painting and making things is divided up between the two games and a very long backlog. The pre-painted craters helps me out because they actually look like craters made through warfare and/or meteroic strikes.They look realistic enough for plastic formed craters, are larger than the picture would make you think, and are lightweight and not deformed. I am very pleased with how they look and the quality of them. I would gladly recommend it to other tabletop gamers.

These are a great, quick addition to any Tabletop wargame. These particular craters are large enough for Warhammer 40k minis to take cover in, as alot of blast craters in this price range are made for diorama making, so are more 'realistic' but aren't large enough for a squad of minis to hunker down in. Generic enough to impact or blast craters and the paint job is decent, just open them and go! The only detractor for me is the thin, vacuum formed plastic, the set I got were a little warped and a few of the pieces wouldn't sit flush with the table, but this is very minor.

Craters are are made of thin flimsy plastic and will warp. Expected hard rigid plastic...they look good but I need to glue the large ones to something rigid so they will lay flat.

The picture looked nice, and I wasn't expecting super-high quality, but these were made of the lightest blow-molded plastic I've ever seen in terrain. It's literally cheaper than dollar-store plastic. When set on a table a light breath will move them about. In addition it was shipping in a padded envelope instead of a box, so I have no idea how it arrived intact without breaking into a hundred pieces. It's a shame as the size and look of them are not bad, but they really aren't usable and are the antithesis of durable.

Good craters for the price

Theses look fantastic and they will be perfect for the WH40K table I'm building.
