These exceeded my expectations for quality. perfectly flat and usable

This is exactly as advertised, dimensions included. I knocked one star off though, and probably because of my own naivety or too high of expectations. One of these two boards was much darker than the other. I use this wood along with a set of dark walnut for checkerboard cutting boards. With that one dark board I won’t get the contrast I was hoping for. These are just for gifts, I dont sell them or anything , so it’s not like it’s impacting my livelihood. The end result is just not going be as perfect as I’d hoped for. But, it’s luck of the draw.

Was hoping for some nice pieces of Maple. Not so! Edges are dented and chipped. One of the boards has one side that’s firewood quality. Hopefully I can use that side for carving. If I didn’t absolutely need these for customer orders, would have sent them back. Very disappointed to receive wood like this from a Hardwood Specialist. Was going to order some Walnut and Cherry but glad I waited. CarlG

I know it is hard to expect perfection especially when the shipping boxes arrive at the door in the condition they are in, but this was packed up with that split in the board. It was lucky that I only need the one for a project I am working on. The crack in the other board took a good 6 inches off of the usability of a 24 inch board. And considering these weren't cheap I did expect a little better.

I have ordered from this company several times and have never had a problem with their product. This time I ordered 2 maple boards, one was fine the other was cupped and was not finished planing, so im pretty sure it didnt get sanded either. Sending it back. I know covid has hit alot of company's hard, but I would think you would have a good employee for inspecting finished product before it is shipped.
