Soldering Iron Replacement bit - 0.5mm for Antex XS25 Iron (55 bit)

The new bit was easily fitted, heated up reasonably quickly and then made firm joints. Have only used for about 30 minutes so far so long term quality not yet known, hence only 4 stars

Nice item, specific to this type (Antex).Delivery issue, stated "Left in letterbox" but could not be found. Found several days later by accident. In a weird place, well hidden. Need to be more accurate with deliver, or send a picture like some services do.

It fits the soldering iron I acquired from my father in law and I can finally get back into making things. Good value and certainly cheaper than buying a new iron.

This nib suffers from being too small for the soldering iron it’s designed to fit. Not physically but in terms of reliable heat transfer. Even with care the heat transfer to the tip just isn’t enough to keep it hot enough after a few sessions and eventually you have to use the edge or ditch it and make do with the default nib.

The replacement is being used for rewiring model circuitry.
