Somewhat biased towards LIV golf.
I really enjoyed this book and read it cover to cover in short order, so it must have been good, to keep my interest. I did find bias towards LIV golf, but that is most of the established golf industry unfortunately. I particularly liked the timeline used, it really helped the story.

Carter On Point
Golf Wars is the definitive guide to the machinations impacting the venerable sport of golf. As the BBC golf correspondent, the author has unparalleled access to the great, the good, the bad and the downright ugly of the golf world and he meticulously plots and explains why the sport has become so fractious and fractured. That money speaks the loudest and always prevails is nothing new; an outcome of human nature and frailty. And yet, golf remains the most honest on-field sport of all which is sadly not replicated in the board rooms of the real players who run and own our game. This is a highly complex paradox made simple by the excellent Golf Wars.

Great book
I'm an avid golf fan and listener of The Chipping Forecast and I felt compelled to buy this book as to the continual plugging on the podcast. 'FINE' I said to myself, buying the book with the discount code that was quite honestly rammed down our throats by Iain who continually claimed not to know exactly what the code was (yeah right).I don't usually read many books, I think I've possibly read 3 books in my life: 'James and the Giant Peach', 'The Complete History of Thin Lizzy' and the first 3 pages of Stephen Hawkins 'Brief History of Time' (I made it briefer). And so I can't compare this book to much but I have to say it was a great read and was definitely better than the Thin Lizzy book.I'm an avid golf fan and the last few years events have been quite insane to watch so being able to recount and read extra accounts from different sources to which I wasn't privy was great. It's easy to forget just how much had happened and how much is changing and so this book gives a great account of what's been going on in the crazy world of golf and I am sure will be used by many as the best historical record of the early LIV years for many years to come. All joking aside this book is fantastic. I recommend it for any golf and general sports fans as a great account of the recent goings on. Fantastic book.

Sorts out the Golf Wars, completely
The author Iain Carter is a trusted golfing voice - but in Golf Wars, he absolutely shines. A complete analysis of the hefty journey golf has been on in the past five years, but told with drama, characters, and original voices. Iain’s level of access is incredible - and this book is like listening to your favourite golf podcast (but better!)
