A great deal of light from a small flashlight- very nice

Very well built and made in the usa.Its not a 1000 lum LED flame thrower and thats why I keep using these. Sometimes you want just a little light for reading maps or charts in car. Or walking at night with out ruining your night vision.Its about the size of a sharpie marker so it fits in your pocket fine.Takes normal batteries and they give you a spare bulb in the end cap."Candle" mode can be useful for lighting a table just like a candle.

Use this for paranormal research. Works great. Small and easy to carry

These new AAA mini maglites are now 13 lumens instead of 9. Be aware of that if you are looking for the older dimmer version of this flashlight.It is also now rated for 1hour 45min because of the difference in brightness effectively making it a smaller/lighter AA Mini Mag just with less battery life. This is because the AA and AAA minimags now share the same xenon bulb interchangeably making it easier to get replacement bulbs.With that said, I can confirm that the AA and AAA are the same brightness(13lm vs 14lm), just with different spread-throw and different battery life(~200% battery life difference)

Our grandkids were always borrowing our flashlights to play either outside or in the closet. So, I ordered 3 of these for them. So, instead of running down the batteries on our house flashlights, they play with these. Really indestructible. Perfect for our 4-6 year olds. They can't break them and the AAA batteries are much cheaper than the larger flashlights.They are only 5 inches long so perfect for them. Will easily fit into a pocket. Ok for small or tight areas. But light will be a little weak for most adult use.

Do you really need more information? It is virtually indestructible and a nice red color so you can find it when you put it down. This is for the AAA version which is tiny, has a bit less lite output than the AA but ... it fits in the pocket easily and will work when you need it.Great for close up work with the light stuck in your mouth ... I tested it that way and they could do something about the flavoring but what the heck, it's a flashlight, not a licorice stick.

Took me a while to find it (so tiny) but it is there. In the bottom of the battery spring as indicated. That is a plus

Wir haben einen Taschenlampe für unsere Kleine gesucht. Gar nicht so einfach, denn wir wollten aus Sicherheitsgründen keine mit LED (diese sind so hell, dass hier eine Gefahr für die Augen besteht beim hineinblicken). Also einfach eine Mag-Lite bestellt, diese haben wenigstens eine herkömmliche Glühbirne. Unsere Tochter kann die Lampe selber ein- und ausschalten und ist richtig glücklich damit.

I was looking for the non-LED version of this torch in this size, with 2 x AAA batteries & light enough to carry around in my handbag. This was as a replacement for an earlier version of this torch which I could no longer find in the shops here in the UK. On receiving it, however, I discovered that there is a spare bulb built into the base of the defunct torch. And I eventually tracked down a UTube video showing me how to extract the replacement bulb fit (fiddly!) and fit it into the broken torch. So I now have 2 of these torches that work! I don't, however, regret the replacement. The LED version is also fine & is indeed brighter, but provides a harsher light.

I really do like this little flashlight. It's handy, easy to use and bright enough for my purposes. I'm happy with this purchase.
