To those that use these pearls for cigars, what method did you use to "deploy" these pearls? What king of holding system, and misting?

The cigar community loves this hack for keeping cigars at the right humidity since the silica beads absorb liquid but don’t hold on to it forever. Instead of using jars of silica gel you can use the un scented silica cat litter as a medium for the distilled water to stay in and normalize humidity over time. Great second use for these crystals and so much less expensive than the jars you buy ore-made. We keep a bag on hand and use a pair of pantyhose to dry out electronics in our house. Just put the electronics in the hose and we put the electronics in the silica. I think some people have used this for flower drying too. Lots of great uses.

Hi. Is this brand flushable?

The Directions on back of the package says absolutely do not flush in toilets or septic tanks. We do prefer this type of litter. No odor and easy to scoop. We add a little baking soda every other day to freshen. Have used this litter for a couple of years. When we go back to commercial occasionally we always come back to the Litter Pearls. Have two large cats that like it and use it frequently. Might suggest using the Litter Genie system along with the litter box. Very convenient and no smell plus you don't have to use plastic bags - another plus. Hope this helps you. Also it doesn't track as much as the commercial litter. Pale blue sand. Nancy Meadows

Absolutely do not flush this product. It adsorbs approximately 4 times its weight in water; and while it does not expand (partly because it adsorbs rather than absorbs), it's the smaller pipes with other "clutter" that the litter will encounter first—basically it's a near-guaranty that you'll clog your pipes in the most unpleasant way. If you happen to live in California, flushing ANY cat litter is illegal for several different reasons.

How do use this litter? Does it absorb or what?

This litter absorbs the urine and dries out (I call it mummifies) the fecal matter very quickly. There is no odor and for 1 cat, the litter lasts about a month. It is low dust but my cat tracks it all over the house. He loves this stuff!
