Worked fine, till it quit working. Didn't last a year, and probably used one day a week. Has a 3 year manufacturer warranty but nobody will honor the warranty. Manufacturer told me their dealers handle all warranty claim. The dealer is Amazon, and Amazon told me it wasn't their problem my only choice was to deal with the manufacturer. Buy something else, and definitely not from Amazon they will quickly tell you it is not their problem if there is an issue.

Was a little skeptical about buying this due to its low cost and power output. We set up small over night pens for our horses when we go camping with them and our one horse that likes to reach for the grass on the other side touched it and that’s all it took for her to not try that again. It’s more than enough for small temporary set ups and the batteries have lasted for two 3-day trips and about to find out if they last through the next one as well. It’s also nice that it only uses 2 D batteries and it is very small. Well worth the money.

I have an AN20 that is several years old and still functioning perfectly. So when I had a separate section of fence that i needed to charge, I got another AN20, as I had always been happy with it.The NEW AN20 (which is not even a year old) no longer works. Tried two different new sets of batteries - nothing. Took cover off to check for water damage, or spider webs - nothing there. Still bright and shiny new inside (see photos). The unit is in a sheltered position, not in direct sunlight or wind and as you can see from the photos, looks like i just took it out of the box new. I did not even clean it off.Very disappointed in the new AN20. Will have to get something to replace it, but will not be buying another one @ $100.

For a small charger it's not bad. Easy to hookup. I'm just using it to block access to my hay barn. It has a small`bite' but its enough to keep the mule and the horses out of the hay barn. I wouldn't use it to keep the mule inside a hot wire pen overnight, but I didn't buy it for that job.

We had one when living in Oregon and it worked flawlessly for 10+years. Bought a new one recently and it is exactly as the previous one, and so far is working as designed.

I just set up my portable electric fence. The shock is so minimal my horses won’t even notice it. I can barely notice it when I touch it. What the heck?

Easy to connect to my portable fence used while camping. Went on a week trip and batteries lasted the whole trip.
