facetheory Regena C30 Pro S2 - Vitamin C Serum, Skin Brightening, Lightweight Morning Serum, Vegan and Cruelty-Free, Made in the UK | 30ml

I haven't used any facetheory products before but I really liked this serum - it is quite thick but as someone with quite dry skin it absorbed well and quickly and left my skin feeling brighter and hydrated. I have seen much talk about Vitamin C serum but I will be happy to incorporate this into my daily skincare regime.

Admittedly I'm a bit of a fan of facetheory products and always willing to try a new one and that's included a good handful of their serums, but this Regena C30 Pro S2 Vitamin C serum definitely has more buzzwords in the product name than any of them! It's pretty great on your skin too.It's got a very unusual texture for a serum, it's clear but has a thicker and more silicone-like slip and feel than most and it doesn't just dry off or disappear into the skin and instead leaves a slightly oily residue on the skin. You also have to work it into the skin a little more than usual and it doesn't spread as far. It seems to be primarily intended as a treatment serum for specific problem areas rather than for all-over use and so the thicker texture makes perfect sense.I've tried it both ways and it's made a really noticeable difference to pigmentation issues on my upper cheeks and forehead, more than any other serum I've tried though I wouldn't say it's a 100% cure. Used all-over the face it's a bit heavy so it's either best applied at night or under a light moisturiser. It's effective both ways and something a bit different that's worth a try if uneven pigmentation is an issue for you.

This serum goes on smoothly and is easy to incorporate into any skincare routine. The dropper makes it easy to measure out the amount that you need. I use it immediately after cleansing and before moisturising. There is a warming action on my skin which lasts a few seconds. I can't find an INCI listing on the box, packaging or product description so that's a bit strange.

This serum doesn't match the lightweight feel described in the advertisement. Its consistency is thick, resembling gel, and it is translucent, with numerous minuscule air bubbles that remain relatively stationary even with vigorous shaking of the bottle.The serum imparts an oily and heavy sensation upon the skin.Following the recommended dosage of just a few drops, as indicated on the bottle, proves insufficient for covering the entire face.The serum lacks a lubricant texture and does not smoothly glide over the skin's surface, requiring an application of 8-10 drops.Moreover, during application, it induces a warming sensation on the skin, which I found disconcerting rather than enjoyable.Once absorbed, the serum leaves a slightly tacky residue, yet the skin feels quite soft and plump.Regrettably, this serum does not align with my preferences due to its unpleasant viscosity and the discomforting heat sensation it imparts.

I'm a long time fan of Face Theory! I have very sensitive skin but I always get on well with their range. The C30 is a clear serum with a nourishing oily feel. I've used other brands of vitamin C serum and this is a little bit thicker than most others I've tried but it seems to suit my skin. I only use a couple of drops each day and spread it very thinly over almost-dry skin after showering so it will last a while!

Lovely quality serum that moisturises and brightens skin at the same time. Not irritating and leaves a glow after only a few uses. Very pleased!
