Q: Does the water tap need to be on all the time? Will this waste water?

Yes your hose tap needs to be left on. If you turn water supply off, it barely manages one full burst off the water jet. No leakage issues as a result of leaving it on all the time and it only uses water when it does it’s 3 second burst when activated.

Q: Received this today put it together like instructions say and not getting nothing have set the sensitivity to number nine and not even gettin clicking

You have not put batteries in, or it is faulty. Mine working very well, but batteries do not last too long. Change new Batteries, if still not working Return for replacement. Not sure how good customer service is but don't wait too long, phone your supplier!

Q: does this need mains pressure water or would it work from a gravity fed container 2 metres above it?

I installed an outside tap for it and used a hose to connect it the product. It's fantastic tho and still my cats won't go near my grass now! I've not had it on for over 2wks now as they just know they will get blasted with water! So it's still doing the job even tho it's turned off! Kept it on for good few wks tho
