Bought this to help fix up a Nativity Scene. The material is great, is easy to handle, and simple to cut. This mat was definitely just what I needed to help fix up and refresh a Nativity Scene. 20/10 very happy with this product.

The synthetic thatch looks real and it serve its purpose. Good product.

I used this for my barnyard Halloween scene. I easily cut these into strips and was able to use this to look like hay in the barn. Looked realistic in my scene

I ordered this product to complete my Christmas Nativity project. It’s easy to work with although a little messy. Make sure to have a vacuum handy if you’re cutting inside. One drawback is that the fullness is only achieved towards the end of each strand and the grain only runs one way. For my application, I have a bare spot on one end as you can see in the pictures. The good thing is that I have extra material which will allow me to “graft” some extra strands to fill in the “bald” spots using hot glue. The backing seems to be just tough enough to hold it all together but if you fold it it will crack and create black flakes of material. The way the strands are attached to the backing is uniform and you can part the straw to find your grid allowing you to cut without drawing any lines. It worked for my project and I hope it works for yours.

I used this for indoor decore during fall holidays. I like that the material is long and full. Covered up Chewbacca’s floor stand and gave it a nice grass/hay appeal for the pumpkins! It does shed, so if using indoors, put it in place and don’t move it around!

It's a bit on the dark side but worked well as hay in a manger for a Christmas play.

I think that this product is great! I like how it looks; they have a slightly different short fiber incorporated to kind of fluff it up and hide the more open areas between rows of long fibers. It flows down very nice, It has proven to be very durable. I did not experience any shedding nor the flaking that some reviewers noted. would buy again

I don’t know who are these people who say that it looks realistic I’ve been in events all my career and this product is so Fake and cheap quality it is appalling . It went direct to the garbage can 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻

It looks nice, but it is 100% flammable. I cut a few pieces of straw off to test this and it lit up no problem. Would not recommend for enclosed areas or areas with open flame, or use next to light fixtures.
