For those who look at those lighting charts as a buying factor, keep in mind they are done in a mylar box to ensure light reflection. My photo was done 11in. off my kitchen floor. I was still pulling 1184 PPFD. Installed in my 4 x 4 tent, and at 12in. above my canopy, I have it dialed in at 1050 PPFD while only using 90% of the power. For those you use light meters to set up your grow room, you will appreciate knowing this. This light runs cooler than my previous lights, so kudos to that factor. The mobile app. to adjust lighting is a great way to dial in your grow space while keeping it enclosed and without light leakage. I upgraded from the Mars Hydro SP3000 and this brand continues to deliver on value, features and performance.

There is a lot of hype around some other brands, such as HGL, but PPFD/PAR tests show Mars Hydro products to be top of the line in terms of efficiency and light distribution. I am amazed at how far LED lights have come, the penetration to the lower foliage is quite incredible and comparable to the old school HID fixtures. I am writing this review for the FC4800 that I purchased off of Amazon for my veg/autoflower room, and I have a FC6500 on the way for my flowering space. Very happy with these purchases.

I bought this to replace a Phlizon COB light and I have to say, I'm a little disappointed in this product. The pros are that it's well constructed, has the best diodes currently on the market (lm301h evo) and the driver can be mounted outside the tent. The light spread on it also seems excellent. It's also extremely light with nice deep aluminum fins on the led bars. That being said, its not as bright as I thought it would be, not brighter than my old COB forsure. Maybe because the efficiency is way better it looks that way? I'm not sure. The FC4800 is also physically an awkward size, it won't fit in a 32" tent, and looks to be slightly underpowered for a 4x4 (in my opinion with no scientific backing), so physically, it can only go in a 3x3 or 4x4, too big for 4x2 or 32"x32". Theres no IR or UV diodes in this light, which is kind of strange this price range consider their competitors have them. I should've done more research, I simply assumed at this price range those would be on the fixture. I've since learned that MarsHydro sells IR, UV and deep red bars as "Adlite" that snaps into this fixture. They're of course pretty pricey. If I could do it over again I'd probably go with the Spider Farmer bar light, which does have UV and IR, or any fixture really with those built in and not as an add-on.
